Hi Bombardment, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
Overcoming imposter syndrome in the creative field involves recognizing I will f*ck up a lot and leaning on friends in the industry. Having my own brand and my print shop (Bombardment Co and Bombardment Printing) help remind me of my journey and how I got here. Helping others helps my own imposter syndrome because I am relearning and rediscovering every time. I’ve learned in my 30s how important fostering a supportive community within Bombardment Co. and Bombardment Printing has been crucial. It doesn’t get easier, we just get better and better.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Bombardment Printing is a Philadelphia based Screenprinting Company with a Streetwear brand called Bombardment Co. We are located in the Fishtown area of Philadelphia and have a small little studio with a great view of the city skyline. The owner, Marc, has been working in the Screenprinting world for over 12 years.
At Bombardment Printing (and Bombardment Co.), every piece in our shop is meticulously screenprinted by hand, infusing each design with authenticity and meaning. We love that a lot of our clients are small business owners with stories and passions to share. We focus on using the best quality garments and ink on the market to ensure our own work and our customers needs are met.
We have a Bombardment Co launch coming out on 4/20 and we are taking on small business customers for their own unique apparel needs in the tri-state area.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, resilience, creativity, and community building have been pivotal in my journey. My advice for those starting out is to embrace setbacks as learning opportunities, nurture creativity through exploration, and prioritize building genuine connections within your community. These qualities will not only help you overcome challenges but also thrive on your path to success.
