Meet Brad Davis

We recently connected with Brad Davis and have shared our conversation below.

Brad, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
By immersing myself in stressful professional situations

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
After 41 years in the biz as a professional guitarist for many artist, I am now finally focusing on my artist career of leading my own electric power trio and acoustic solo show. Performing the songs that I love and write. As a side man on guitar I have performed with many artist and toured the world and now as a solo artist, I will basically have to start from scratch building an audience that is connected to Jeff Beck, Billy Monroe, Eric Johnson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Billy Strings and Tommy Emmanuel. These music ingredients make up my blended style of music. I believe that it’s never too late to go for your dream! I released my first solo artist single “Rock and Roll by Led Zeppelin to showcase my d-d-up speed picking technique and my style of vocals. CHECK IT OUT PEEPS

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Be creatively solid in attitude, groove and execution of what it is you decide to be good at so that others will be interested and want to work with you. What ever you do, it can be simple, it just needs to be the best you got!

How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?
I am working to build an audience for my own artistic music and now presently working to hopefully secure an opening spot on the new Warren Haynes tour.
