Bradley, so happy to have you with us today. You are such a creative person, but have you ever head any sort of creativity block along the way? If so, can you talk to us about how you overcame or beat it?
I discovered that the key to overcoming roadblocks lies in my unwavering commitment to giving my absolute best in every situation. Whether I’m participating in a free event or engrossed in movie editing or filming, I always approach it with nothing less than 110% dedication. Even on the toughest days when I feel like throwing in the towel, my inner fire keeps burning bright, driving me to persist with unwavering determination. Quitting is not an option for me.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a passionate individual with a diverse range of skills: filmmaking, photography, business ownership, dreaming, and taking action. Regardless of the endeavor within this field, I always strive to give it my utmost best. Starting from my roots as a drone pilot and and iMovie creator, I have worked my way up to the intricate processes of writing, filmmaking, and editing. In the realm of photography, I seize every opportunity to capture the world in a symmetrical and visually captivating manner. I pour my heart and soul into every project, ensuring the best possible outcome.
Currently, I am immersed in the production of a movie called “The Deal,” set to be released by late 2024 or early 2025. Originally conceived as a mini series, it evolved into a film to account for the constraints of time. It’s amazing how countless hours of filming can be condensed into a mere two and a half minutes of engaging footage through the editing process. This realization underscores the meticulous nature of our craft and the dedication required to create a truly impactful piece.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
In this field, there are three fundamental qualities or skills that play a crucial role: persistence, consistency, and determination. These qualities are so vital that you must possess an unwavering commitment that rivals the very necessity of breathing. There will inevitably be days, weeks, months, or even years when opportunities for advancement seem few and far between. In such moments, my best advice is to seize the initiative. Even if you find yourself without specific subjects to shoot or edit, grab your camera and venture out into the world. Allow the ever-changing canvas before you to inspire and guide your artistic vision.
All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?
One of the primary obstacles I currently face revolves around the constant worry of the future and the incessant pursuit of more. While this mindset can be beneficial in certain aspects, I have come to realize the importance of living in the present moment and cherishing it fully. It is crucial to understand that God’s timing is always impeccable and that forcing things to happen may not yield the desired outcomes. Patience, therefore, becomes an essential virtue to cultivate in navigating life’s journey.
