Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bree Arline @Breezyshotme. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Bree Arline, so happy to have you with us today. You are such a creative person, but have you ever head any sort of creativity block along the way? If so, can you talk to us about how you overcame or beat it?
Learning to try new things and not being afraid of the outcome. Taking risk. I have the passion to create so in order for me to get focused I try other things I enjoy to keep me busy until I can relate it back to creating some form of content. It’s really just my faith in the process. I try not to force anything and let it happen naturally.
Sometimes the biggest blessing can be redirection. So trusting the process and reflecting on the past circumstances where i’ve had creators block , reminds me there are just levels and seasons to this process. I’ve wanted to give up so bad multiple times and sometimes you just look at it like damn, this doesn’t make sense, why is this happening . I stopped questioning. Then you realizing later down your journey how necessary that redirection was. Knowing how hard i’ve worked to get here and overcoming every difficulty that has crossed my path, All my hard work will go to waste if I stop now. It is so important just to give yourself a break and self reflect. That self reflection reminds me every time when I feel stuck, to just to take a step back , keep trusting God and focus on the good. It will all come back around in ways you wouldn’t have thought of. Everything he places in your path all works together for the good in the end.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m a content creator, videographer, photographer, and editor. Specializing in Behind the scenes content, birthday and event recaps. I also enjoy designing business cards and flyers on the side. That’s actually how I got started promoting my services before I was able to build the relationships and the clientele I have today. It’s all a process you definitely have to take time and be patient. I’ve been leaning more towards film lately, creating behind the scenes content and soon start making some of my own appearances stepping in front of the camera. It’s definitely something different for me because I am that photographer/videographer that can’t stand being in front of the camera. I’m Most excited to be apart of some upcoming films where I’ve been able to experience more of the set life and network in that field. I’ve met and built so many amazing relationships with like minded individuals . Christina Cooper , My bestfriend, who is an amazing tv producer, director, and actress have been working on a few projects together. I am super proud of her and she inspires me on a daily. I’ve been with her scouting and am super excited for what she has in the making. Upcoming films such as Trading Soles with writer and producer carlos robins . Rising 6 the movie , latasha harlins movie and many more ! In between time I’ve done birthday recaps for Royalty brown and her little sister sinatra la. I’ve shared the stage with artist such as yo gotti, nle choppa, lil baby, moneybagg yo and cmg the label. Also another exciting event I was able to film the la portion of AT&Ts Dream in black Road to Essence and had the opportunity to edit the entire recap for their 3day tour. Definitely was a challenge to use other videographers footage but then that’s when I realized I enjoy the editing process as well .
All updates and content I will share to my instagram page and youtube channel. Im currently working on my website to launch at the end of the year and I would like to get more involved with the youth and the community. I love and appreciate everyone who has believed and supported me along this journey. It truly keeps me going and I hope i’m able to inspire others to do what they love .
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Integrity , patience, and faith. If you don’t believe in something you will fall for anything. Cliché I know , but it matters. Believing in something you can’t see or touch gives you that leverage to not be apart of the crowd. Before even starting this journey I chose to believe in my self and my beliefs in God with proof he’s shown throughout my lifetime. The real key actually wanting that change and wanting something different than what i’ve been doing. I have no doubt about it and always looks foward to the next level of growth. I’m still a work in progress, I’m not perfect at all and it sounds good but it’s really a challenge that i’ve accepted. In order to grow you have to make change . You can’t avoid the process and it does get uncomfortable at times but I feel it’s completely worth it all to grow. Having integrity , knowing right from wrong , having the choice is what will set you apart and in good karma. I definitely believe in that. So staying true to yourself, treating others how you want to be treated even tho you feel they may not deserve it, is what will help elevate your journey, help you grow and keep the love thats left circulating. Give yourself time to learn you and surround yourself with people who strive for the same thing, and want inner peace. Lastly, I remind myself that no one can take what’s meant for me and I don’t want what is meant for someone else. Focusing on what others have will set you back and trash your mental health. Social media tends to have that effect so definitely take social media breaks and focus on your goal. Working out and eating healthy is always a good start.
Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
When I feel overwhelmed i’ve definitely learned to just take a step back and find time for self care. Eating healthy and working out plays a huge part in my personal life. Your mental health is so important . Prayer and self reflection have gotten me through the toughest parts of the process. God had been so good to me, that in time of being overwhelmed I love helping other people . I’ve already had proof in my life of areas that have been difficult and overwhelming are just seasons to help you develop . So just trust the process and remember the goals you have , even writing them down if you have to. There is lots of satisfaction in helping others and the most selfless act you can do. It brings me joy to see others happy and thriving. It gives me the fuel to stay positive because you don’t know other peoples story and things can always be worse. If I have the chance to make people happy, I will do it because sometimes people are struggling in silence and your act of kindness can make their day. I’m way to familiar with the feeling. So I feel it’s my purpose to inspire and stay true to you.
