Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Breea Janay. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Breea , thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
I’ve always wanted children, and remembering my childhood, my mother worked a warehouse job and rarely had time for mother daughter moments. So, I push forward everyday knowing that my hard work will pay off eventually so that I can have kids and spend time with them.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I direct films and I think it’s the best thing to do ever. I love directing people’s passion into one particular thing – or idea. I believe teamwork is the most important thing ever, and if there isn’t someone directing the common vision, too many ideas will immerse and it will be a complete mess. So, I enjoy sticking to the script and directing the common vision.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Experience, humbleness, and empathy are the most impactful traits a film director can have. This has helped me move forward beyond means. I know that with these traits, I am able to, not only care about the project, but care about each person on set. I know that behind the camera is a real person recording, and behind the actor is a real person with their own story.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Yes, I am looking to recruit a few beginners who’s looking to change their life for the better. We will start with a media rollout to test their ability to keep up with the amount of work ahead of them. Then we’ll jump right into the craft, and later making money from said craft. Starting in August, I’d like find at least 3 people willing to work.
