Hi Brendan J., really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
As they say. It’s hard to see the picture when you’re inside the frame. I didn’t realize it until later on in life, but it started when I was 7. My mom noticed I had an interest in the guitar, I remember watching different players on tv and was starstruck at how a person could become so great at something. My parents bought me my first guitar for my birthday, it was a first act guitar from Walmart, they put me in lessons and I realized real quick I was horrible at it. Most people are when trying to learn an instrument especially at such a young age. I’m 27 years old so fast forward 20 years later, its assuring to say I’ve gotten real good at it. I really believe anybody can learn how to play the guitar if they really apply themselves learning their favorite songs for fun, basic chords, etc. But the part of going beyond that for me was going way above and beyond and asking myself one question. How can I be the best at this in my own way? From there as time went on playing, I started to develop my own sound. I started to be in studio sessions and I hear a song as somebody plays it. I would sit there writing a part in my head, hit the record button and solo on the spot. The ability to feel, the ability to transcend into another creative dimension, that started with asking myself questions and studying other people who are really really good at the instrument. For the longest time, I thought my purpose was the ability to write music and become the greatest guitar player, turns out my purpose was to overall be a creator. From that, it overflowed into other creative categories, starting a business, starting a media agency, becoming a great videographer, photographer, and Content creator. I believe in God, when I asked him this one question everything changed. God all I really want to do, is create and inspire with the gifts you have given me. Since then it changed. It was very easy for me to get one thought and finish it with my creative abilities and the ability to see into the future and having a vision. That’s why I go by a quote that I created for myself. You have to “see it” before you can SEE IT.
Which is a form of manifestation.
So my purpose is too create and inspire.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
So I run a media company that specializes in Content Creation for businesses and entrepreneurs, especially in real estate. Mainly focuses on video and video production with photography, graphics all combined into creating awareness for their brand with storytelling. The exciting part about it is that it’s taken me places I never thought I would go. A lot of people are in the real estate industry and I travel quite a bit. 2023 was my biggest year. I traveled to 18 different cities, many seminars and many businesses and realtors who I have a monthly subscriptions for the services that I offer. The most exciting part about it is getting to know people and living their life and telling there story and creating a vision through their eyes, and I believe that separates me from somebody else in what I do. I’m not just here to create something just to create, I actually get to know my clients and my people because it’s going to send a better message and prolong the greatness in editing their content. I don’t know why it just works better. In 2024 for it just starting, I’ve already had to hire one editor because the awareness that I’ve created for what I do is spread so quickly within less than a year. I’ve been doing it for years three years with a company beginning 2023 I decided to start my own media company, but in the last three years before that, I met a lot of people in the industry who are really aware of what I do. Also getting more people on a subscription plan to help them with their content, as far as flow, consistency, quality, and awareness.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Man that’s really hard. There are so many of them but if I were to pick three.
I think the first one would be figure out who you are, because within that you’ll need a different version of yourself that leads to questions like, why am I here? what’s my purpose, realizing your habitual habits and beliefs. Why do you do what you do, in other words your higher self. When you meet that person you’ll have a better direction of what you actually want to do.
The second one is creating a vision and a vision across a lot of different things, and the most important one is self image is how you see yourself as a reflection of how others are going to see you, however they see you is how they been treat you and also create their own perception of you And when I say self image I see this life in your life if we’re talking about you it’s like a movie and so what character are you playing and does that character align with the person and attributes that lead to what you’re supposed to do or what you would want to do.
The third thing is be the best at what you do whether that’s what I said above or your skill talent gifts. Once you figure out what that is if you have an already to speak I’m the best at it you’re no competition with anybody but yourself it would also help me with evolving in what I do , in a way, how can I stand out what is something that works being authentic and started looking at myself as a brand then a person who just creates contact.
My advice on all these things I just listed or maybe you can take what I said and use it your own way. The first step with me was asking myself some hard questions tied in with awakenings. Who are you? What are you good at? What naturally flows into your life? Whatever naturally flows into your life is a result of what you are, you’re not forcing your “letting”, the kind of business you’re attracting, relationships, people, friends, money everything is a reflection and result of who you are internally, and when I started to realize that. It started to change. Isolation also sped up this process. I stopped going out and I stopped drinking, I really believe being so creative, You can’t let outside forces interrupt that flow of vibration you have working for you, and when you get addicted to that kind of vibration, low vibrations become less appealing and less attractive so that’s the biggest thing is being alone. You will find a lot of answers and realize that they have been inside of you the whole time it can be hard to getting to them with all the noise. ,
I believe the greatest advice is going to come from YOU, because your gut feeling is never really wrong. You just have to get to know it better and it should steer you in the right direction. Find words that trigger a positive emotion within you, EMOTION is the secret, words are power and when you use them to the best of your ability it will open up new paths that you’ve been in search for, consciously and subconsciously.
To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
Man, I love my parents so much and I will say this. I think the most impactful thing they’ve really done for me and my sisters was always believe in us. I can’t speak for most parents, but I’m pretty sure most parents want their kids to follow a safe route, go to college, get a secure job, get the benefits, and kind of live a more safe route. Unfortunately for me, I was always a “off the beaten path” kind of person. I have a really big open mind, so any business idea, any endeavor, or any new thing I ever really wanted to try they’ve always listened, and they’ve always supported it. They may not have believed in it at times or agreed, But they never really shot it down. They were always supportive, and they’ve always encouraged me to try it, or keep going, and whenever times got hard, they never gave me advice. They said “you got it” you’ll figure it out, and that’s probably one of the greatest lessons they’ve molded for me. Realizing that only myself can answer what I need answered for whatever problem, situation or scenario, I’ve been dealing with in that very moment. I think them encouraging me to play the guitar, my dad paying for lessons in the beginning when we really couldn’t afford it, and my mom who encouraged me to play and eventually forced me to play. I didn’t know why but if it wasn’t for that, I don’t think I would’ve unlocked, some of the creative abilities I discovered at a very young age. I love my parents and they did the best they could for me and my sisters, so now I feel like it’s my duty to become the highest version of me and what I do.
