We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brianna Hawkins a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Brianna, so glad you were able to set aside some time for us today. We’ve always admired not just your journey and success, but also the seemingly high levels of self-discipline that you seem to have mastered and so maybe we can start by chatting about how you developed it or where it comes from?
Self-discipline is vital in the growth of your business, or just life in general. It cannot be taught, it is learned during life lessons. Having been through things or situations in my life gives me a constant reminder of places I never want to go back to. You have to keep yourself motivated and focused to stay consistent. It’s easy to be distracted. Self-discipline is all about being aware of your surroundings, and the people you have around you that may be hindering your growth. Be strong enough to cut out all distractions, so you can go to the next level. Remember the things or situations you never want to experience again, and that will fuel your willingness to never give up.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Hey readers! I’ve been a Licensed Full Specialist Esthetician for two years and a half now. I specialize in full body waxing for both men and women. Also, I educate women on how to care for their skin in the intimate area. We also offer, brow tinting, and relaxing facials. Soon we will be offering, lash extensions, and lip neutralization. My favorite part about my job is the value I offer to women. I get to be apart of someones self care day, help them feel better, and back like themselves. Also, constantly meeting new people, which is exciting, and the best way to learn.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
There qualities that will aid in your success are, taking risk, being focused, and self motivated. You must be willing to take risk even if you can’t fully see the reward. As long as the risk makes sense and it alines with your goals. Not taking risk will leave you stuck in your same situation for good. Staying focused is hard, but will help you get to the next level. You have to miss out on temporary fun if it’s hindering your success. Also, you may have to disconnect with people you love if their not adding to your success or distracting you. That will be one of the hardest things about reaching your highest potential. If you can’t figure out how to keep your self motivated, your journey will be hard, and almost seem impossible to get through. Even if nobody is supporting you the way you feel they should, you must keep going. Have faith in yourself, and your vision. When your new in business there will be times you have no sales, and your appointment calendar will be bare. Find the fire inside you to keep going. If you believe you will achieve.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
The perfect collaboration has been on the top of my goal list for 2023. I love networking, but I have yet to close in on the perfect collaboration partnership. I’m interested in collaborating with other ladies in our field of Esthetics. Offer group training classes, create content together, or give back to the community in some way. Also, any ladies or men in the beauty industry, I’m open to partnering in some fashion, even if it’s just a giveaway. One of the keys to success is who know.
