Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brittany Nixon . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Brittany , so excited to have you with us today, particularly to get your insight on a topic that comes up constantly in the community – overcoming creativity blocks. Any thoughts you can share with us?
Well I rely on God for that, I’ve also learned to just go into my secret place and zone out and sit in silence and usually ideas book titles and chapters start to flow.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Well I’m what you call a Jack of all trades. I like to wear many hats but I’ve recently just published my very first book and I’m a Credit Counselor and Specialist, I became interested in Credit when learning to repair my own and teaching others to do so it’s very rewarding and now I’m expanded to working with small businesses and teaching them how to leverage Business Credit instead of depleting your personal credit. I also am a self taught chef and that company is called the Survival Kitchen.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I would have to say my number one is giving my life to Christ without him none of this would be possible. The second would be stay encouraged and DO NOT compare yourself to other people or other businesses. The third would be stay the course even if it doesn’t look like you’ll make it trust you will put everything you’ve learned and all of the constructive criticism and positive advice into your business.
Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
My brother has been my rock in every single business or creative idea I’ve had without him I don’t know if I’ve would have even started majority of my businesses, he’s been extremely encouraging and supportive and my tech guy, product tester, Photographer and so much more and that’s support!
