Meet Bryanna Mendez

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bryanna Mendez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Bryanna, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?
I am a woman of God and that is the first thing I am before I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, and especially, a REALTOR. That being said, I give 10% of everything I make to my local church, Southwest Church, where I am apart of the worship team. My generosity definitely comes from my church background; just being in such a wonderful environment surrounded by like-minded individuals make me want to be a better human. I have always loved helping people starting at a young age. I can’t remember a time in my childhood where I did not volunteer for something. Just seeing other people happy and being apart of that is so fulfilling to me. I love this aspect because I always bring generosity into my business.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I, Bryanna Mendez, am formerly known in the Coachella Valley as Bryanna Czarny, my maiden name. I am a worship leader at Southwest Church and a community activist anywhere I am needed. I have volunteered for AYSO (Associated Youth Soccer Organization) as an Intermediate soccer referee and a soccer coach since I was 13 years old. I have spent time traveling to other countries such as Mexico and the Dominican Republic to worship the name of Jesus and to help those who don’t have any hope to be able to see the light again. Nothing is more satisfying and rewarding than being a chosen vessel of God. I am currently working on a few singing projects on the side; using the voice that was gifted to me to, in turn, help others. I have been fortunate enough to have a dream job of working in the Entertainment industry as a celebrity assistant, production assistant, and Assistant Director for multiple projects, music videos, and feature films. Fast forward to 2020, I became an instant mom to my bonus daughter Daisy and a wife to my husband, Alejandro Mendez. I received my real estate license shortly after and the rest is history.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Three qualities that were most impactful in my journey would have to be:

1. Being MYSELF and never changing myself because the truth is that people trust who you are and they are going to be more relatable if you are a human and not a walking advertisement. As much as I need to market myself, I always try to show my real self because I am not in this for solely the money aspect; I am in this business to genuinely help others.

2. Having a degree- this one is a controversial answer because I am not one who says that you have to go to college in order to be something. I do agree, however, that no one can ever take away your education. I made the best friends and experiences during my college journey and it definitely helped me to be more ready to take on the challenges of life as a working woman. For those who don’t go to college, I think it is important to find a passion and to work hard at that passion; but I will say that if you don’t go to college, that is okay as long as you find something that is going to provide stability for you and your family, whether that be a trade or an entrepreneurial venture. Whatever you do, you have to put your 150% and you have to want it more than you want to breathe.

3. Always have people in your corner. I would not be where I am today without the support of my family, friends, my broker, and co-workers. It is very important in any industry to have people in your life who are going to push you to be the best version of yourself and to never give up. Community is super important for longevity. No one wants to go through life alone.

My advice: Get rooted, get planted, and get growing. You can do anything you set your mind to. God make the impossible, Possible.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful things my parents did for me was that they showed me how to truly love through thick and thin and to never give up on my dreams. As cliche as it might sounds, my parents were the perfect example of this. They did not just talk the talk, but they walked the walk. It did not matter how many hours they worked because as soon as they got home, they were PRESENT. They are an example of what marriage should be like and relationships in general. They taught me to not make small things a big deal. My parents made me the woman I am today.
