Meet Byron Wilson Jr

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Byron Wilson Jr a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Byron with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I got my work ethic from my father. I witnessed my father work very hard and do all types of work just to make ends meet. That was truly my inspiration behind my business and other ventures as well. Being able to make my father proud with my accomplishments was my greatest reward.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I own an all natural men’s grooming company called Lion’s Den Beard Collection. The most exciting part about my brand is being to launch our new line of women’s products called Lioness. Being able to provide quality high end products for both men and women has brought a new sense of accomplishment to our brand.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
My best three qualities that were most impactful in my journey was being motivated, consistent, and having the ability to navigate for through adversity. Rather running a business or starting a new career you have to have all three of these essentials skills in order to persevere through any journey.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did for me was work hard and try to give me the best life that they could when I was a kid. I seen my mom and dad both work two job’s to try and make ends meet. They were truly inspirational for me and made me shoot for the stars to make them proud and also be able to do for them as well.
