Meet Caleigh Boyd

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Caleigh Boyd. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Caleigh below.

Hi Caleigh, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
Overcoming imposter syndrome is something that I still work on everyday, but I try to remember that I would not be here if I was not meant to be. I set so many goals for myself that I sometimes feel like I will never accomplish anything without even realizing how much I have already accomplished. Over the years, I have had to learn to be kinder and more patient with myself while accepting that the uncomfortable feelings and emotions that come with setbacks are all a part of the journey.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My name is Caleigh and I am an artist! I have been infatuated with art and practicing it for as long as I can remember. Art is the main way that I feel comfortable expressing myself and because of that I feel like I am my most vulnerable self while I am creating. I work with acrylics, gels, pastes, airbrush, & fibers, but I am always exited to try new mediums. I do most of my work with a co-creator and we mostly sell our pieces at small markets throughout Nashville, but our work is also available online.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I would say that getting over the fear of rejection was hugely impactful along with patience and resilience. Just because you are not where you want to be right now, definitely does not mean that you will never get there.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am always looking for people to collaborate with! I love working with other creatives who share the same vision and also express themselves through their art. My co-creator and I can most easily be contacted through instagram @visualizedkarma
