Meet Calvin Byrd

We were lucky to catch up with Calvin Byrd recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Calvin, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
Growing up I was always the underdog. People would look at me and underestimate my capabilities which they would eventually regret. When you get use to people second guessing you it’s easy to bounce back. Its expected not to get the first look but by the time they circle back around then the price has gone up and the stature has as well. Also, when I was growing up my mom told me I could be anything I wanted, and I could do anything I wanted to. Growing up hearing that allowed me to take hits and keep going in life.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a photographer that is residing in South Caolina. Fashion photography is my passion and with the portraits I get a chance to help people. After a session with me people tend to feel relaxed and at peace. The goal is to make people feel comfortable and capture amazing images. I will be having my art show for Project 333 on February 3rd, 2024.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
You have to let go of fear. You have to build relationships with great people. You have to be intentional with everything that you do.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
I have been working on being better with my schedule. I’m more meticulous with planning tings and not missing dates.
