Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Candy McBride. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Candy, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

For many people, their family is their biggest source of motivation and inspiration in life. This can be especially true when it comes to fitness and health. When you have a family that you love and care about deeply, you want to be there for them for as long as possible. You want to be able to keep up with your kids, participate in family activities, and be an active and engaged member of your family.

For me, this motivation was the driving force behind my pursuit of fitness. I started exercising and eating healthier because I want to be a good role model for my children and because I wanted to set a good example for my family. As well as be there for them years to come.

Overall, finding my purpose of fitness through your love for my family was a powerful motivator. By focusing on my family and the impact that my health and fitness has on them, I found the motivation I needed to make positive changes in my life and achieve my fitness goals.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
On the surface, Candy McBride is a third grade educator, mother of two, and a passionate gardener. However, when the school bell rings at 2:15pm the Executive Director and Owner of the health and wellness brand, #GYMKITTY awakens. Her goal when she created #GYMKITTY was to serve as a catalyst for women to begin living their healthier selves. Now almost 5 years later, Candy has expanded #GYMKITTY from T-Shirts to a full blown vitamin and supplement line available on Walmart Marketplace, The Sistah Shop Atlanta, and select products on the Tailorie App. Most recently, we were contacted by the team preparing the celebrity gift boxes for the 2023 BET Awards and we have now confirmed out gummies will be gifted to 125 celebrities, hosts, and honorees!

Yes, “Will” by Will Smith has been an important book in my professional development. Specifically, how he studied and recognized a pattern for the type of success he wanted. Then he methodically created a team around him to support that dream. In addition to, implementing a step by step strategy to be prepared for the opportunities when they arrive. It was an eye-opener on discipline, determination, and understanding your strengths and weaknesses.
