Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Carina Rivera . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Carina , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
Modeling has been something that I picked up as a hobby. Nothing really to take seriously. I realized that a lot of women are going through the same thing. I felt like working to help them would eventually pay out and they do.
The saying work hard and be the best at what you do is a real true saying.
I worked a full time job and did about 4 hours a day minimum on YouTube. It’s something that you have to want and keep up with daily to make sure you hit your goal. Discipline is very important. No one is going to tell you to post.
I have read great books and all but my
Parents have the best work ethics and I get it from them.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I started branding my company in 2014. A lot of hits and bumps along the way. But never stopping is probably what has made me who I am today.
Now I just sit, work or not I still make money from people steaming my videos. It’s very important as a Youtuber to find out who are your views and what you are good at. If you keep going someone out there will watch your videos.
It has also led me to great opportunities, I was on ABC live for New Years New Orleans and a movie with Theo Rossi.
Branding is something that women in the industry have trouble with. It takes a lot of research and continually just posting. Finding an audience and just running with it.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
If you’re going to focus on YouTube focus on YouTube. Start posting don’t share it with your family or friends. Keep it to yourself. Never stop learning. Never stop researching what you want to learn. Ask questions.
There is no path to success everybody has their own. But no successful path. Everyone has their own. It took me 9 months to get monitized. But MR. Beast took him 7 years. Now he is the biggest Youtuber.
Never stop posting or giving up on what you love.
Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
Rich dad poor dad. That was a book that lit me like fire. I don’t entrepreneur Its very important to never stop reading. Never stop learning.
Entrepreneurship is not something we learn in school. Personal development is very important it can set a foundation.
I did a lot of MLM and regret them. But they did give me a free school of entrepreneurship and that’s something money can’t buy.
Now I get to build a IMDB with my partner and continue to create content that I want. I think anyone can do it. It’s just about putting in the work.
