Hi Carl , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
It came from my grandfather, Carl Jackson Sr. He used to shine shoes and he owned 2 locations in Fort Worth Texas. He would get up a 5 am and be at his location at 6 am. Then go to his home shop and work from 6p until 9p. Watching him work like that made me realize at a young age that owning a business was the key but you had to treat every minute like a dollar earned or a dollar lost.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Right now it’s all about my new film “Carl Jackson’s LAX 2 Paris” hitting theaters on January 12, 2024, in select cities. Now contentedly married, Kelly and John begin the journey home from Paris, France. However, their plane ride takes a swift and perilous turn as the pilot is forced to make an emergency landing, a situation that draws the newlywed’s relationship and trust in one another into sharp focus. It’s a sequel that I am proud of. The first one Carl Jackson’s LAX is now on Tubi and the director’s cut is coming to Peacock. in 2024. This film series is a great series for married couples. I am not married but I understand it even more than ever now that I have produced these movies.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three things that I can say that have helped my journey are: putting the Divine first, keeping my business private, and standing in the grass with my bare feet to stay grounded.
What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
I haven’t been having sex. And my life changed in a MAJOR way. I am more alert focused and grounded. I want to be married but who you merge your energy with can help build your life or destroy it.
