Meet Carlos Ramirez

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Carlos Ramirez . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Carlos , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I think a majority of my work ethic and how I approach tasks before me I can honestly attribute to my parents and most of my family , growing up in the eastern coachella valley and the son of migrant farm workers I quickly learned although not always by choice the importance of hard work . At times Waking up before the sunrise to do agricultural work ,be it picking grapes ,chili’s, onions etc. At only 12 years old ,
It absolutely tought me discipline and fortitude
Im sure There are countless and simila stories to mine .

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a visual artist and I try to keep a certain balance in my work and practice most of the creative disciplines such as painting sculptural work drawing and specific sight installations , most of the approach or work I do usually focuses on a type of story telling about the human experience that most can relate to , it can be anything from humorous to work that touches on the social climate and also totally random.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Some of the 3 most important pieces of advice or knowledge I ever received I still adhere to and live by till this day was to … Never compare yourself to anyone else everyone’s personal journey is different and their own .
Make sure you are Loving what you do and it will never feel like work .
You can never make everyone happy so don’t let it deter or discourage you , you may be the encouragement someone just like you needs .

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
I think the most impactful thing my parents ever agreed on and did for me was to encourage and nurture my creative process growing up through personal sacrifice, at times setting their personal needs and time aside ,they saw in me what I couldn’t at a young age and for that I will always be thankful.
