Meet Cesar Angulo

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Cesar Angulo. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Cesar, appreciate you sitting with us today. Maybe we can start with a topic that we care deeply about because it’s something we’ve found really sets folks apart and can make all the difference in whether someone reaches their goals. Self discipline seems to have an outsized impact on how someone’s life plays out and so we’d love to hear about how you developed yours?
I came naturally, I didn’t have to force it. Then, as I grew as a person and as a professional, my training, coaches, mentors, and my own internal impulse drove me to be a self-disciplined person.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Access to high quality and affordable healthcare is a challenge for millions of people around the world. And this is what we do, we help people find it because access to high quality and affordable healthcare is a universal right.

It’s a very meaningful mission because of what it does for people. I’ve seen people cry happy tears because they are now able to walk after a knee or hip replacement, or after a full dental reconstruction because they can now chew on their favorite foods, etc. The life changing stories are endless.

Patient Journey only works with the healthcare providers in Costa Rica. We do this for many reasons listed on our website, but the most important ones are:

Costa Rica has one of the top 5 healthcare systems in the world, has been ranked as high as #2

The cost of healthcare is typically 50-70% less than in the US

We only work with healthcare providers, hospitals, and clinics that have joined PROMED. Costa Rica’s health chamber, created exclusively to ensure that international patients visiting Costa Rica receive consistent, high-quality medical and dental services from its members

I could list many more, but I invite you to visit our website at www.patientjourneycr.com for additional information

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
High ethical standards, emotional intelligence, and my belief that God comands us to be good to others

My advice:
Realize and acknowledge that we are on this earth for a very short while. Think about what you love doing and how to utilize that drive to leave a positive mark on this world. Something that will live way past after you and I are gone.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
The growth opportunity we have as a company in the medical toursim industry is gigantic. We have all the pieces in place to handle any type of volume and any type of medical need (as long as it is offered in Costa Rica, and most needs are), but we face a financial challenge. By our own choice, the funding to build Patient Journey has come from the two founding members. To grow Patient Journey, we need the financial resources to grow. Advertising and marketing, and man-power are the two most critical needs we have.
