Chanel , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I, Chanel Budd obtained resilience from reminding myself that your life’s journey shouldn’t be lived in vain. No matter what storms, trails or tribulations may come your way I’ve chosen to learn the lessons and keep persevering.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Chanel’s a certified relationship and self love expert, handcrafted perfumer of “Selfless Love Fragrance”, best selling author, podcast host of Selfless Love Talk, Film creator, writer and producer of a new film “Selfless” and owner of Selfless Love & Active Beat Nonprofit honoring transplant recipients and their primary caregiver. Chanel is most excited about being able to use her services to provide support, extraordinary fragrances to embrace self love, empowerment and inspiration to others in need of encouragement, hope, motivation and to persevere.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
As I reflect on the beginning of starting my businesses I would say the most important aspects to take into consideration are how you spend your time, money and resources. It is important that you spend time on learning the fundamentals of your business, investing wisely on the necessary tools, platforms and resources. Taking the time to develop your business and to understand successful businesses take time to grow. I also believe in volunteering or serving others in your community or business owners to build relationships and understand the value of humility and servant leadership.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
My biggest area of growth over the last 12 months has been launching the Nonprofit Selfless Love & Active Beat along with becoming a film producer of “Selfless” loosely based off of my published book of 2016 “Playing The Hand I Was Dealt”. These two particular ventures are very special to me for I took loss, pain and disappointment and turned it into very beautiful, transformative and impactful work.
