Charmaine, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I must say that my work ethics came from both of my parents. My mom recently passed on May 11, 2022, but she instilled some hard work ethics into me and my siblings. I am the third child of nine, so I knew it had to be challenging to care for so many children. I never saw her quit no matter how hard or challenging it was and I was determined to be the same way. My dad is also a very hard worker; he has beaten lung cancer and is still working and doing what he loves. I’ve never seen either of them give in to anything in life. My mom was the strongest woman I knew, and she endured to the end.

Greetings, I am Charmaine Thomas, hailing from Covington Georgia. I am the proud owner of three remarkable ventures: Thomas Unlimited Services, The Thomas Collection, and The Thomas School of Business. I’m the author of “Freedom from Fear” and ” What Women Need to know About Starting a Business, an Amazon e-book. Alongside being a devoted mother to five incredible children, I am also blessed with the joy of being a grandmother to two handsome boys and a beautiful girl named Autumn. At Thomas Unlimited, we are renowned for our commitment to educating the community on the significance of credit and taxes. Our services cater to individuals who aspire to become homeowners or simply desire a healthy credit profile. I firmly believe that financial literacy should be an integral part of our educational system, equipping our youth with the necessary skills for the “real” world. It is disheartening to witness many individuals only recognizing the importance of their credit score when they urgently need it. My passion for financial literacy stems from a desire to prevent such situations from occurring.
Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to receive invitations from esteemed individuals, including the current Mayor of Emporia, VA, to speak about credit and taxes. It brings me immense joy to share my knowledge and experiences with others, particularly those interested in establishing their own tax firms. At Thomas Unlimited, we not only prepare taxes but also provide an opportunity for growth and development. This venture was not solely created for my benefit, but also for the betterment of my family and the chance to extend the same opportunities to others.
In addition to these accomplishments, I am thrilled to announce the launch of a new fragrance called “Her” under The Thomas Collection. This fragrance holds a special place in my heart as it is not only a representation of “Her,” but also inspired by one of my mother’s favorite perfumes. I still cherish the bottle and have fond memories of sneaking in to spray it, much to my mother’s amusement. My mother’s journey has been a constant source of inspiration for me, showcasing a strength and willpower like no other. “Her” is a tribute to her and all women, encouraging them to embrace their true power and radiate confidence. Introducing “Her” to the world fills me with immense happiness, as there is a profound story behind this title that I am eager to share.
My ultimate aspiration is to ignite inspiration within others, for it is my genuine ardor. I yearn to empower women and young ladies, demonstrating that they possess the ability to conquer any endeavor they set their minds upon. The journey’s commencement may not dictate the outcome, but rather the determination and resilience displayed until the very end.
In our midst, there exists a multitude of remarkable women, and I firmly believe that by uplifting and supporting one another, we can forge an unbreakable bond. As we extend our hands to grasp the next, we shall transcend all barriers and become an unstoppable force, propelling each other towards greatness. ~Charmaine~
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The power of a strong mindset and unwavering faith cannot be underestimated, as they serve as the foundation for confidence, resilience, and personal growth. Just like a seed, the thoughts we nurture in our minds determine the outcomes we reap. In my journey, I have experienced this firsthand. When I took the leap to start my own business, everything seemed promisig initially.. However, challenges arose, and I foud myself falling behind on bills, feeling overwhelmed by stress. It was during these moments that I had to remind myself of God’s promise to never abandon or forsake me. Through prayer, unwavering faith, and belief in his presence, I found the strength to persevere. This why my love for God and his guidance hold such significance in my life.
I would advise anyone to continue to push and never give up on your dreams. Trust me, you will run into challenges, but you must dust yourself and get back up again.
What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Over the past twelve months, my most significant area of personal growth has been in mastering the art of tackling challenges and problems. I have come to accept that these obstacles are an unavoidable part of life. Moreover, I have realized that in order to achieve success, I must maintain unwavering consistency, integrity, and productivity.
