Meet Chasmine Iyonna

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Chasmine Iyonna. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Chasmine below.

Chasmine, first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
Changing our mindset is key. Rather than telling myself “I got lucky this time,” I started shifting my focus on how hard I worked and incremented minute moves that I learned from my mentor Ilka Murray. She is phenomenal make sure you download her course Own Your Shift it changed my entire life.

Here are a few things you can do to help overcome imposter syndrome.

Making sure we focus on our own individual goals, rather than external expectations, is important too. It can be hard to focus on our own wants and needs when society constantly tells us what we should be aiming for. Don’t worry about what others think or do – instead, focus on what resonates with you. Identify what motivates and energizes you, then build those activities into your daily routine.

Finally, practice self-care. Remember to take the time to nurture yourself – this includes going outside, exercising and taking breaks when you need them. Focusing on your emotional and physical health will help to alleviate the stress and anxiety associated with imposter syndrome. Don’t dismiss any sign of fatigue and exhaustion; instead, incentivize yourself to relax and enjoy the present moment.

The takeaway here is that you have the capacity and courage to face imposter syndrome head-on and tap into your true potential. It will take time and a lot of personal reflection, but you can do it. With a constructive mindset and proper care of yourself, you can start making changes today in overcoming imposter syndrome and unlocking your true potential.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I’m here to talk about the skills and qualities I had to realize I needed. In life, it’s important to keep on developing, growing and learning in order to reach our goals and dreams. It’s also important to be guided and taught by the right people to help us do this.

For me, the first skill and quality I had to realize I needed was personal development. This involves understanding yourself, knowing your strengths and weaknesses, and how to use them to move forward in life. Developing confidence, clarity, resilience, focus and resourcefulness are all big parts of personal development. It takes time, patience and practice, but it’s essential for growth.

The second skill and quality I needed was spiritual development and guidance. We all strive for some level of inner peace, so it’s essential to understand our spiritual needs in order to achieve this. This can involve anything from engaging in meaningful meditation practice to studying sacred texts or even engaging in a faith community. Regardless of the path chosen, spiritual development and guidance is an important component of personal growth and development.

The final skill and quality I had to realize I needed was a mentor or coach. Having a mentor or coach who can provide support, guidance and direction can be invaluable. They can give advice on topics such as goal setting, time management, problem-solving strategies and other skills necessary for success. Having someone who can offer assistance, encouragement and accountability is essential for progressing forward.

In conclusion, the skills and qualities I had to realize I needed were personal development, spiritual development and guidance, and mentor coach. It takes effort, time and energy to develop these skills, but doing so is important for achieving our goals. Everyone needs support from mentors or coaches as well as guidance in understanding our spiritual needs. All of this leads to a more successful, productive and meaningful life. A special Thanks to Apostle Anthony McCoy and Prophetess Tracy McCoy for being true leaders and helping me to develop and get equipped spiritually. A special thanks to Prophetess Ilka Murray for being a great mentor in business and my personal development. Another special thanks to my business partner and personal development coach Aisha Akbar, you are truly incredible. And major shoutout to my friends and family for supporting along my journey.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
I’n the past 12 months I’ve really had to deep dive into personal development in order to be successful in life and business. We all experience times when our businesses go through unimaginable struggles and it can be hard to remain confident and resilient during these periods of chaos.

We must first start by understanding what resilience and self-confidence are and how they can be helpful in getting us through these challenging times.

Resilience is the ability to cope with, adapt to, and overcome difficult situations. Self-confidence is the belief in yourself and your own abilities to achieve success. Together, these two skills will allow you to remain grounded, alert, and optimistic even during trying times.

To build resilience, it is important to remember that failure is part of the process. There will be times when you face roadblocks that will test your patience and discipline. However, approaching these challenges from a growth mindset allows for learning opportunities and potential success. Acknowledge that setbacks are part of business and use them as learning experiences to become stronger and wiser.

To improve self-confidence, first embrace yourself and your unique qualities. Let go of what other people may think or say, focus on you and your capabilities. Be reflective and practice self-awareness to really understand who you are and what you can or cannot do. When you have an understanding of your own strengths and weaknesses, it will be easier for you to trust in yourself and your abilities.

Self-confidence also comes from practice. Taking risks and accepting challenges will help you grow more comfortable with trying new things and taking steps out of your comfort zone. Lastly, surround yourself with positive role models or mentors who can give you honest feedback and teach you methods of staying motivated when facing difficult times.

Learning how to build self-confidence and resilience is essential to getting through any period of uncertainty in business. It will help provide you with the necessary tools to stay focused and engaged during challenging times. So make it a priority to practice both resilience and self-confidence in order to get you through any situation that life throws at you!
