Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Chel Isabella . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Chel, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Back in 2021, I had lost 3 of the closest relationships and it turned out to be the biggest blessing I never knew I needed. When you’re forced to face yourself and redirect the energy you give to everyone else back into yourself that’s when you get to really see your strengths and weaknesses, It was in this time that I formed my business, Chill X Chel. I was in need of support and community and I knew I always had a skill for connecting with people and creating vibes in a space. In the past two years of having my business I’ve found that my purpose in this world is to create safe spaces for creatives to come together and create opportunities for small businesses, artists.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m Chel! I host events around the Phoenix area for creatives that advocate for community, connection and conversation. I started my business from the need for community and support when I was going through a huge life shift. I started from hosting intimate gatherings at my house including: open mics, catered dinners, photo-shoots all out of my house. Currently, I collaborate with Greenwood Brewing and host these wonderful monthly fashion shows and night markets. We always have returning faces and new faces that love to join the vibe of Chill X Chel.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Three qualities that I’ve kept with me on this entrepreneurial journey has been to stay consistent, stay hungry and giving up on your dreams is never an option. There’s so many ways and doors that you can make whatever vision you have for yourself a reality. Every interaction you have with someone that likes something about you is an opening and opportunity for you spread the word about what you do.
