Meet christianne brooks

We recently connected with Christianne Brooks and have shared our conversation below.

Christianne, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I think I get my resilience from my mother. Who immigrated here as a young woman after the war from Germany. Not knowing a soul or speaking the language, she was the consummate example of a warrior as she had a sense of adventure and really never gave up seeking in her life – always seeked to better herself physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I was in awe of her constant pursuit of a better life.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I created Lovesnap ( A stylish reminder to talk nice to yourself ) after having used the CBT( cognitive behavioral therapy) method of wearing a rubber band on my arm for over 12 years. I had been struggling with some critical inner dialogue and was working with a life coach who recommended I try this technique of snaping every thought that was negative or critical towards myself and then taking a pause and then putting in a supportive and loving thought in its place..

Like anything, the more you practice the better you get. And soon I saw a tremendous improvement in my self-confidence and self-worth. It got me back on track! Lovesnap helps me daily with many things I’m working on in my life. I use it to remind me to have faith when any thoughts of doubt o worry start to creep in. I use it to remind myself to be in the moment and not in future thinking or past thinking. Lovesnap is also highly useful and successful for breaking any bad habits, like biting nails, stopping smoking, gossiping, etc. It can be your stylish companion on your self-growth journey

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Being open to try new things and holding myself accountable to self-correct are the top two. “it works if you work it ” is a famous phrase that sticks in my mind. The most important quality we can possess I beleive is the desire to better ourselves no matter what it takes.. We cant be of service to others if we are not in service to ourselves – meaning putting our energy towrads self-improvement and healing past hurts or wounds. So we can show up as our best selves. When we are able to improve our lives through our own effort there is a huge reward as oppsode to looking outside ourselves for quick fixes. We need to stand guard AT THE DOOR OF OUR MINDS AND TRULY CONSCIOUSLY CHOOSE THE THOUGHTS THAT BRING US LOVE, HAPPINESS AND ABUNDANCE

THE THIRD QUALITY WOULD BE MY RESILIANCE MY DESIRE TO KEEP TRYING – KEEP

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I AM LOOKING TO SHARE LOVESNAP ON A WIDER SCALE AND HOST MORE WORKSHOPS, PODCASTS AND BE PART OF MORE EVENTS WHERE EMPOWERING PEOPLE TO BE THEIR OWN ADVOCATES FOR MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING – I’M LOOKING FOR MORE INFLUENCERS WHO WOULD LIKE TO TRY THE MODALITY AND HELP ME SHARE HOW LIFE CHANGING THIS LITTLE TOOL CAN BE. I AM ALSO LOOKING FOR INVESTMENT, SO I CAN TRULY SCALE THE BRAND AND REACH MORE PEOPLE WHO WILL BENEFIT. I’M ALSO LOOKING TO ADD SOME ADDITIONAL PRODUCTS I KNOW WILL BE HELPFUL ON THE SELF-LOVE, SELF-IMPROVEMENT JOURNEY!
