Meet Christina & Jeremy Rosell

We recently connected with Christina & Jeremy Rosell and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Christina & Jeremy, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Purpose for us stems from our relationship with God. Before Jeremy and I became truly committed to our Faith we were driven by selfish ambition. What we would get for ourselves, how we could stack our bank account, how we would be perceived by society because for some social class is all they have. But once we allowed God into our hearts, he quickly changed all that for us. Our perspective is now brought to the reality that we cannot take anything with us when we die only souls. God has given us purpose beyond us. When we were nothing but filthy rags he called us his friends. Needles to say we live to glorify him in all we do. In regards to opening an event space we followed what came natural and easy for us. We are a husband and wife due. Wife being the creative genius, husband being business savy with a background in sales in the industry. We strived to create a dwelling where people would come feel welcomed, at peace, and experience something that is beyond them. Hence we are a full outdoor garden. Nature has a way of doing that to us.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
We feel blessed to have the opportunity to do what we love. A motto we like to dwell on is that we are blessed to be a blessing. We’re always looking for opportunities to blessed those around us or in need.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back it has truly help that Jeremy has had his foot in the industry. Though it was sales he was able to see what was popular or trending, and also listening to complaints or wisdom nuggets with what Venue owners have experienced. Christina has worked in the Fashion industry so she has a good eye and understood the concept of designing and producing. She sketched out the entire garden on paper before seeing it come to life.

What was also impactful for us was when we were dating we both knew we had entrepreneurial spirits and wanted to work together in something. We truly work well together and have found a healthy balance in our work and marriage life. We quickly learned we both couldn’t be chiefs in everything. So we delegated based in our strengths and had to trust that the other was going to deliver to the best of their ability. And so The Pinery was born.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
What has been most helpful for us in overcoming challenges goes back to our Faith. Trusting that God is on control. We have experience our fair share or challenges and disappointments but we truly believe this is His business and we are just doing our best to steward it.

In the more practical sense of things we do a lot of research in the industry as well. We talk to others who have been in the industry or similar to and pick their brain. We have found a really good community whom have invested in us and believe in us and for that we are forever grateful.
