We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Christine Perez-Gray. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Christine below.
Christine , thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
My optimism comes from being led into grace. I know that may sound hokey for some … however it is my truth. You see for the majority of my young life into adulthood, I was a drug addict. My addiction inhibited me from the glory of this gift. I am fully aware that today, optimism is a choice. It wasn’t until at the bottom of the barrel that I realized I had never even applied the thought of optimism into action. To think positively or even trust the field of endless possibilities was a poignant moment, I dare not. Today, I take action by staying connected to this gift of grace. I lead myself with the Divine, continuously challenging old thought patterns and/or beliefs. It is indeed a skill I am proud of, as it has helped me to emphasize the beauty of this choice to others.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Presently, I teach yoga and curate wellness retreats in the states; soon to be overseas. The Yoga Direction helps ignite the journey of wellness for those who feel drawn towards self- healing, have been stagnant in clarifying their purpose, or desire to connect with other like minded individuals on the path. These retreats are held in safe and loving spaces, providing the best resources for the process into self. I have a wonderful team of gifted facilitators who travel alongside of me, assisting the participants in having the best experiences while there.
The Yoga Direction will be hosting it’s yearly spring retreat, Finding Fluidity, May 18-21, 2023 in Lake Blue Ridge, GA.
Luxury Accommodations, private chef, full sized gym, lake side fun, hiking, yoga, sound healing, and more.
Information about the retreats, held every spring and fall, can be found on The Yoga Direction website.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. Stepping into My Power 2. Meeting People Halfway
3. Being Objective
I would say to those in the beginning stages of their journey….
counter doubt with courage
allow others autonomy
apply faith with action – always
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Absolutely Yes! I would love to collaborate with those willing to be potential sponsors of my retreats, assist in facilitating workshops, or attend a retreat as a guest. Head over to the website: www.theyogadirection.com for more information.
