Meet Cindy Twedt

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Cindy Twedt. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Cindy , thank you so much for making time for us today. We can’t wait to dive into your story and the lessons you’ve learned along the way, but maybe we can start with something foundational to your success. How have you gone about developing your ability to communicate effectively?
I was blessed to grow up with a Father who was a college professor, and taught speech, debate, and drama. He also had a debate team that he traveled with, and they did very well! He was an extremely educated man, who could communicate effectively with people on all levels, and from all walks of life. I attribute my ability to communicate effectively to my Dad. He was the best role model ever and lead by example! I have successfully run the Entourage Model and Talent Agency for over 35 years and I’ve had to deal with lots of different personalities not only the models and actors but also the clients who hire the talent from my agency. I’m also having to sort hundreds of emails on a daily basis, including providing responses to all of them! Over the years, I have learned that if you pay careful attention to the details and are able to effectively communicate those details with the information to others, then that’s a perfect foundation for effective communication! Be clear, be precise and direct. I have found when others are able to get my message this way, not only does it save time and lots of back-and-forth emails, but it eliminates unnecessary miscommunication and endless attempts of trying to get a point across.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I have multiple passions in life which include owning and running the Entourage Model and Talent Agency. I represent talent located in Texas as well as in Los Angeles, California. I am proud to announce the launch of another Talent Agency in Miami, Florida, coming soon! I absolutely love working with models and actors, and all of the clients who hire the people I represent. My clients include Marriott, Whole Foods, Louis Vuitton, Coca-Cola, Walmart, VRBO, Dell, Purina, to name a few. I express gratitude to God on a daily basis, for blessing me with such an amazing modeling and acting agency that I can run, as it’s truly one of my passions. I’m also a fashion photographer and love working with models. They say that I am the “posing expert” because I’m able to pose them very well in all of their images. I am very directional when I take pictures as well as being educational, because I truly want to set them up for success in the talent industry! On a different note, ever since I was a little girl, I have loved baking. I had one of those Easy Bake Oven‘s when I was young and that started my passion for baking. I have a couple signature desserts, and every Christmas holiday my family will put in their order for what they’d like me to bake, lol. I really enjoy baking; it brings me joy!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The best advice I can give to anyone is to take those things that you’re passionate about and turn them into businesses. It’s so important to wake up every day and love what you’re doing for your job, because if you do that, it’s not really a job, it’s more of you sharing your gift with others. Invest in yourself to learn as much as you can about those things that truly interest you and then go for it wholeheartedly. Always come from a place of gratitude in your heart and an open mind, because things are not a one size fits all, not only in business but also in life. Stay positive and try to do at least one thing on a daily basis that gets you closer to your dreams and goals. It just takes one step at a time and if you’re consistent and persistent, your dreams can become your reality. Always invest in yourself, in reading, in taking time to learn new skills, and on self-care and self-love. You can be living your best life ever! There is a saying from William Arthur Ward that I have held dear to my heart since a child, and it says” If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it!” This has had a big impact on my life and is always in the forefront of my mind when I am considering adding something new to my life, either personally or professionally.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
In Miami, Florida during the pandemic, I started a PPE Vending Machine business filled with hand sanitizers, face masks, forehead thermometers, etc. Once the pandemic was over, I had these vending machines that were filled with items that no longer were needed. So, I brainstormed with myself and decided to rebrand them to My Vegan Vending. The vending machines are filled with several options including items that are: organic, gluten-free, as well as vegan / plant based. I have clients in South Beach, but I am looking for more locations for my other vending machines, and I am looking for someone who would like to collaborate with me as well. People are becoming more aware of their food and snack choices and are wanting to make healthier decisions. So, my vending machines are the perfect solution to those seeking healthier options. If you are interested in collaborating with me, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I am a businesswoman at heart and have successfully started multiple businesses and would love to collaborate with others!
