Meet Claudia Tejeda

We were lucky to catch up with Claudia Tejeda recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Claudia, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience is a testament to my responses against trials and tribulations. These lived experiences greatly inform the person I am, the choices I make, the communities I collaborate with. I don’t measure my life through a success vs failure lens. Conflict is a part of life and what matters most to me is how quickly I can get up and continue my path. One thing is for sure, it’s important to acknowledge that my journey does not unravel in a bubble. Applying the timeless wisdom of elders that came before me has been a key element in overcoming adversity.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am the Founder and Broker of Tejeda Real Estate, Inc., a boutique real estate firm in South Florida. We have about ten dedicated agents that cover a wide range of areas, such as seller’s market, helping landlords lease their homes to qualified renters, and leasing and selling of commercial properties. Everyone at Tejeda Real Estate, Inc. is part of Miami Association, the largest real estate association in South Florida, which grants us access to an extensive range of exclusive listings.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, and to my surprise, I realized that majoring in computer tech was one of the best choices I could have made. This degree has given me a particular insight when it comes to making financial and database reports, and other computer skills that are necessary in our real estate profession. Knowing how to properly engage with certain databased computer programs will really help you lead an organized and prosperous real estate business. Another key component of a fruitful career is language. Being able to communicate in multiple languages is imperative. For example, if your business is situated in South Florida, then it would be wise for you to brush up on your Spanish, since a vast percentage of the population is comprised of native Spanish speakers. Lastly, don’t give up! No matter how hard it gets sometimes, believe in yourself and keep going. Branch out between different departments within real estate. Get to really know the ins and outs of the business. I can confidently say that my many years of diverse experiences have influenced my ability to gain the expansive clientele I work with today. The more you know, the better service you will provide.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I am looking for real estate agents who have been working in the field for a minimum of one year and who are willing to invest in buyer generating leads.
