Meet Coach Ella Destiny

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Coach Ella Destiny. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Coach Ella below.

Coach Ella, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I found my purpose through my pain. I always knew as a little girl, that I would be something or someone. I actually thought I’d be a singer! Anyone that knows me KNOWS Whitney Houston (my LEO sister, RIP), was my all time favorite and I was going to be just like her. Little did I know, God had other plans and a completely different plan for my life. I didn’t know that all of the obstacles, struggles, stress, strain and pain would put me on the path to my purpose.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I started my coaching method with one goal in mind: to help people find PURPOSE in their work, relationships, and life. My personal interest in spirituality help others focus, reflect, and refine their lives.

As a Certified Life Coach, Women’s Healthcare Advocate, Speaker and Author, my mission is to:

Use my platform/talk show “On the Leather With Coach Ella” to have the “uncomfortable conversations about women’s health, fibroid awareness, mental health and other issues that plague the women in our community. After having 11 abdominal surgeries and spending a week on life support, it’ s my commission to bring awareness for early detection and prevention.

Empower women with information and bring awareness to fibroids, it’s statistics, symptoms, and treatment options.

Advocate for research that advances treatment to discover early detection, better care and outcomes.

Educate the public about health and social economic impact caused by the uterine fibroid disease.

Helping women to understand how common fibroids are and tell-tale signs women should look out for.

Provide strategies to promote mental awareness.

Helping others to realize limitless possibilities and that the impossible IS possible.

Eliminate “BS” or (BELIEF SYSTEMS) of what we were taught as opposed to what’s found to be true.

Help others to understand “THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH SAYING SO WHAT”

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Faith, Resilience and Determination

I’d tell anyone to not give up. As cliche’ as it seems, it’s the truth. Noah didn’t build the Ark over night and the earth certainly wasn’t created that way. Good things, GOD things take time and patience. Don’t rush the process, trust the process. If you get there too fast, you’ll miss the lessons and ultimately the blessings. Take the time to operate in your faith. Remain resilient and stay determined no matter what!

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
My biggest area of growth in the past 12-months has been giving myself grace. Giving myself permission to mess up and be ok with it. Giving myself permission to take a break, to be silent, to walk away and let go if I have to, without the feelings of guilt or failure or regret. You have to allow yourself grace. You are the first example of what loving you looks like and if you don’t show yourself love and care, no one else will. The world is sometimes unkind, so you have to be kind to you. That takes a lot of growth. Personal growth and spiritual growth.
