Meet Conrad Jon

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Conrad Jon. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Conrad, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
You have to make yourself realize that people are Apple and oranges. The more you compare yourself to the person next to you, the more you create a divide. You have to have your own tunnel vision. Don’t measure by success because it often comes in spurts. Instead I try to measure on productivity. Am I doing something to better myself and my craft? If so then i am succeeding in my book.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I make music. And the most special thing about it to me is that every second I’m writing / recording / performing I lose myself in the process. When it’s something you truly enjoy you do it for yourself. Not anyone else around you. The motivation has to be intrinsic for me.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Treat yourself as if you’ve already made it to where you want to be. It will teach you how to navigate under certain circumstances with poise and caution. Know your end goal. That way any opportunity that comes along that could bridge you there you will be willing to take the leap.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
Take it back to square one. What made you love this in the first place? Dial it back to there. Don’t overcomplicate things.
