Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Cristina Golubovich. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Cristina, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
Growing up, my father was my ultimate inspiration. Both of us are now involved in the world of filmmaking, myself having recently entered while he’s slowly edging out, after 30-something years in; his seasoned expertise and unwavering commitment to excellence served as a guide for my discipline. Drawing back to my earliest memories, I found myself captivated by his work ethic, as he poured his heart and soul into each project he was a part of. His dedication to his craft was palpable, infusing every project with a sense of purpose and artistry that left a lasting mark on me.
As I transitioned into high school, my commitment to my own endeavors was undoubtedly shaped by the aspiration to emulate him. I poured myself into every project, fueled by the deep-seated desire to create something that would make him proud. His influence was a constant presence, driving me to push the boundaries of my creativity and strive for greatness in everything I pursued.
College became a playground for exploration, a space where I continued to hone my craft and challenge the limits of my imagination. Each day was an opportunity to delve deeper into the art of storytelling, fueled by the lessons I had learned from my father and the legacy he had forged.
Looking back, I am eternally grateful for the privilege of growing up with him as my role model. His mentorship, his example, and his unwavering belief in my potential have shaped me in profound ways, molding me into the artist and the person I am today. Every success, every triumph, is a testament to his influence, a tribute to the foundation he laid for me. In the end, I am who I am because of him, and for that, I will be forever thankful.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. push yourself, you are always capable of more than you think. 2. failure is the best thing that will ever happen to you – embrace it and learn from it
3. be compassionate and make friends wherever you go. you never know who you might meet or what doors could open just by having a conversation (in fact, that’s how I ended up in my current job)
Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?
While I’ve been fortunate to secure a position at a remarkable company, I’m currently grappling with a sense of uncertainty regarding my career trajectory. After years of feeling confident about my post-college plans, stepping into the industry has been a jolting experience, one that has left me feeling somewhat adrift amidst the endless possibilities I’m confronted with.
This newfound ambiguity has been a humbling adjustment, especially for someone like me who values purpose and clarity in their work. Yet, rather than allowing doubt to consume me, I’ve chosen to view this phase as an opportunity for personal and professional exploration. Each day presents a fresh chance to absorb knowledge, embrace experiences, and welcome opportunities that come my way. I do my best to maintain a mindset of openness and receptivity, understanding that growth often emerges from moments of uncertainty and discomfort.
