Meet Dan Kieri

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Dan Kieri. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Dan, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
With commitment. I commit to something until I excel at it. And even when I am doubting myself or afraid, I still show up. I keep moving towards the goal. When I don’t believe I can do it, I continue on course anyway, like a lunatic. The worse that can happen is I fail. And I have done so much of that, I am not afraid of it. But at the same time, I’ve made progress. I see myself getting closer to success. And with this attitude I become more and more who I want to be. The 10 years ago me would have never believed he’d be the current me. He would not even imagine it. If I met him, we’d not have much to talk about. And along the way my faith strengthens because I keep proving everyone wrong. Building up to my last project, which was the most difficult thing I’ve ever done, I doubted myself every single day. But none of those thoughts in my head stopped me. And now I’m in post production with it. No one really knows what I risked, sacrificed and went thru mentally and physically. But I am told that I carry myself well. People think that I am well rounded and have my life together. The truth is, it’s a complete mess. But I carry myself based on the vision of where I want it to be and not the reality of my current situation.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
As an actor, the most exciting thing about it is that I get to bring a persons story to life. And be a character that only existed in a writers head who gets to be physically seen in reality. To me, story telling is the best way I can serve the world. The better the story, the more excited I am about it. The competition in this career is incredible but I am competitive. I started out as an actor and started producing to help get my acting career going. I produced a short film called “If Nothing Changes” and just recently a fan film called “Gambit – Thief of Hearts”. I am currently producing a feature length horror film called “Addy My Love”. And I already have the next project I am planning.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. Don’t fully trust anyone. Have low expectations and high gratitude when people are good to you. 2. Be good to people, be of value and service without expecting anything in return. Just focus on doing your best. Good people will be attracted to you. You will make good friends. They won’t be perfect friends, but that’s ok. Those are the ones you will end up accomplishing great things with.
3. Get really good at being in the moment and out of your own head.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I’m looking to collaborate with passionate and talented people in the film industry. They can find me on social medias looking up my name Dan Kieri
