Dane , so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?
My optimism comes from seeing the amazing future my family, my business, and myself have in store. This business gets me so excited because I see an avenue to give my family the life they deserve. I grew up poor and I want to change that. I want to Make this business into something that can make generational money for my kids kids. That might be lofty goals but I truly believe that it’s in the future. BartenderForHire has so much potential the only thing to do now is to do it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
BartenderForHire originated from my days as a young bartender at Anthony’s in Gig Harbor, evolving from a side hustle into a thriving business. Inspired by encounters with affluent yacht visitors, I transitioned from a mobile bartender to the CEO of a successful enterprise, driven by the desire to empower fellow bartenders towards financial freedom.

Our business achieved notable recognition by being selected among 50,000 businesses for the reality TV show “The Blox.” Additionally, I am currently in the top 5 of Dos Hombres’ Bar Boss competition, competing against thousands of bartenders for the chance to grace the cover of Bartender Magazine and win a substantial $10,000 prize. This dual success reflects our commitment to excellence and continuous growth in the bartending industry.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Reflecting on my journey, the three most impactful qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge were:

1. **Adaptability:** Being able to adapt to changing circumstances and learn from experiences has been crucial. The ability to navigate uncertainties and adjust strategies has been instrumental in my progress.

2. **Networking and Relationship Building:** Building strong connections with others in the industry has opened doors, provided opportunities, and contributed significantly to my growth. Networking is not just about who you know but also about fostering meaningful relationships.

3. **Entrepreneurial Mindset:** Approaching challenges with an entrepreneurial mindset, embracing innovation, and being open to opportunities have been key. This mindset allowed me to turn a passion into a successful business and continuously seek new avenues for growth.

For those early in their journey, my advice is:

1. **Embrace Learning:** Never stop learning. Stay curious and be open to acquiring new skills and knowledge. The more versatile you are, the better equipped you’ll be to navigate various situations.

2. **Cultivate Relationships:** Invest time in building genuine relationships within your industry. These connections can provide support, mentorship, and opportunities that may significantly impact your journey.

3. **Be Resilient:** Challenges are inevitable, but it’s how you respond to them that matters. Cultivate resilience, learn from setbacks, and use them as stepping stones for improvement.

Remember, the journey is as important as the destination, and continuous growth is a dynamic process.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most profound influence my parents bestowed upon me was instilling a strong work ethic, a virtue I aspire to pass on to my children. During visits with my father, he consistently involved me in the workings of his own business, imparting invaluable lessons about entrepreneurship throughout my upbringing. Simultaneously, my mother, a relentless worker, supported our family—consisting of my brother, sister, and me—throughout our modest upbringing. Despite our financial constraints, she demonstrated that unwavering dedication could always secure a fulfilling life for oneself and their loved ones.
