Hi Daniel and Cherie, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
Resilience is one of the most necessary attributes to have as an entrepreneur. We have had to constantly learn to develop the ability to bounce back from adversity, adapt to challenges, and maintain a positive outlook despite setbacks. Our experience growing Luxe Bites along with previous life experiences have made us mold into the strong-minded individuals we are today!

Daniel’s journey has been an interesting one for the books! His entrepreneurial mindset had been with him since his first business at the age of 15. His passion for business, IT, PR and marketing took him to lead several companies before his ultimate big move from London to LA. The drastic change of environments and having had to start from scratch in one of the most expensive cities in the world is the true testament of resilience.

As a former collegiate athlete, Cherie had to learn from a young age to bounce back and adapt to ever changing environments. Our major moves across the world have pushed us to be versatile, to persevere and most importantly, to be comfortable in new or unexpected situations.

At Luxe Bites, we pride ourselves in improving every facade of our business day in and day out! We are thankful and proud of our client retention rate and will always strive to continue to be better than yesterday.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Luxe Bites is now in our second year of business in Los Angeles. As one of the most sought after catering companies in LA, we are constantly growing, expanding and reaching new heights! We have expanded our delivery and catering radius up to 60 miles which covers Los Angeles, Orange County, Ventura County, Inland empire and more. We have so much in store for 2024 and can’t wait to continue to be part of all our client’s special days!

We have a few new items on the menu that we are so excited to share with you! Everything we innovate is truly inspired by our client’s visions! Our newest featured item on the menu is our takeaway charcuterie graze board: This is a huge charcuterie board that feeds up to a party of 50 guests and is affordable, elegant and the easy centerpiece for all events and gatherings! This allows our customers to save about $350 of setup fees and also allows our team to handle more events in a day! This was an easy win-win for us so that we can continue to take on multi-event days without having to worry about saying no to anyone’s last minute party!

We are also thrilled to announce Luxe Bites Foundation- Our non-profit foundation in the works that will be aimed at taking a portion of sales and giving back locally in LA as well as internationally in Africa and Asia. We have a few passionate causes with mentoring and benefiting the younger generation as well as helping homeless dogs that we hope to first-hand make a lasting impact! We are currently finalizing paperwork and building our website and can’t wait to share our journey in hopes that it will inspire others to join us to provide food, shelter, and resources to those in need in Los Angeles and overseas. Our love for dogs also will never go unforgotten as we plan to help with the overcrowding of shelters and preventing unjust euthanasia of homeless dogs. In the meantime, we continue to be proud partners and sponsors of local non-profit foundations such as Habitat for Humanity, Women’s Heart Health, the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, El Rios Community School and more!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back at the last few years, the qualities of being versatile, hardworking and self-motivated are among the most impactful qualities that have directly benefited our journey as entrepreneurs. The business landscape is dynamic, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances is crucial. Being versatile means being open to new ideas, markets, and strategies. It is always crucial to learn that being uncomfortable is a good thing that fosters growth! Although this isn’t natural, we advice challenging yourself perhaps once a month where you do something you have never done. This could be being on a podcast, trying a new pilates class, trying a new cuisine, or even taking a pottery class!

Furthermore, entrepreneurs often need to continue to inspire and lead their teams. Being self-motivated sets an example for others and fosters a culture of determination and ambition within the organization. Being self-motivated individuals, we have to continue to take the initiative to identify opportunities and challenges. We don’t wait for external motivation but actively seek ways to improve and advance. We advice those in starting out their entrepreneurial journey to stay disciplined even with the smallest things like committing to an early morning gym routine and clean eating habits. It all starts internally with your own self-care and soon you will naturally hold yourself accountable to everything your heart desires to achieve!

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Our biggest area of growth of improvement as a business in the last 12 months has to be effective delegation! Growing a business is truly a 24/7 thing and we have learned the tough way that we simply cannot do everything on our own. We are so glad to have a strong team on our side today as we continue to expand, take on more daily orders and events and continue to reach new levels so that everyone on our team elevates and stays fulfilled.
