We recently connected with Danielle Elaina and have shared our conversation below.
Danielle , appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
The little things in life that people tend to overlook definitely help maintain my passion and creativity. It could be as simple as seeing a butterfly outside, or something funny someone said; that will get my wheels turning about a future concept I would like to explore. We all have our creative blocks, but if we take the time to really think about the things that are right in front of us we can hone in on what makes our craft so unique.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m Danielle Elaina, originally from the New Orleans area. My love for modeling and photography came at a very young age. It was always something I would pick up on and just do for fun because I truly loved it. Even if I’m not putting in 100 percent of the effort, (like I should) it always makes me happy to be apart of a greater vision; whether it’s my own or someone else’s. Recently, I moved away from Louisiana and my new struggle is networking in new places to continue doing the thing I love most. So for now, be on the lookout for what I may create next.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
An important skill is learning how to channel your energy. When you’re met with negativity, whether it’s from within yourself or outside source, it’s best to know how to facilitate it for a positive outcome. It starts with doing the work for yourself, and finding what gives you inner peace and joy. This way when negativity invades your thought process, you know how to silence it and not let it affect your life or goals you want to accomplish.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
In this very moment, I’m looking to collaborate with those who are better than me. People who know what they’re doing so much so that they’ve perfected their craft. Whether it’s modeling, photography, dancing, painting, podcast host, agencies etc. I want to learn the skills necessary to be at my best, and encouraged by others who have been on the journey, that understand where I’m at. I’m also open to connecting with people who are where I was a year ago. At the end of the day, there’s room for growth on all spectrums and I can’t wait to meet new people.
