We were lucky to catch up with Darien Hall recently and have shared our conversation below.
Darien , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I was fortunate enough to see resilience first hand while growing up. I watched my parents and other family members doing whatever it took to provide. My parents worked multiple jobs and typically rotated shifts at home. At the time I didn’t fully understand because we had food, shelter and our needs were always met. I watched them faithfully have hope in tough times . So resilience, This mindset and this way of life is engraved in me. Whether it’s going up against multiple offers, finding that perfect home with lack of inventory or guiding sellers in the sale of their home and avoiding appraisal or inspection pitfalls; I am fully equipped to serve these clients at the highest level because of my resilience to see it through.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’ve helped clients purchase and sell residential and commercial real estate for 17 years now and it has been nothing short of amazing. The relationships I’ve formed far out weight any successes. In fact most of our business is now by referral or introduction from past clients though we have great success in positioning ourselves in the communities we serve which helps with branding. A former client nicknamed me Diamond Darien because he mentioned all the pressures we had in a real estate transaction and how I was able to shine and complete the sale. So once I became a broker and asked what name I wanted the firm to represent I chose Diamond D Real Estate as a reflection and the identity of what we would bring to the marketplace and how we would put our clients in the baldest position to shine with a successful transaction. As a personal growth and development student I also take on the role as mentor and have just recently decided to merge my love of fitness into our branding with the hopes of inspiring others to be healthier and to form even more meaningful relationships.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1Being a student and being coachable- going into anything open to learning as much as you can and while understanding you may stumble along the way but if you’re coachable then not only will you avoid some mistakes you’ll be able to recover faster or pivote.
2. Being grateful and enjoying the process- no matter what being in tune with know you have the opportunity to chase after your dreams is something to be extremely grateful for so remember that as you go through the process. It’s a journey and some days will ne better then others however, stay in gratitude and enjoy the process because you are becoming something greater.
3 start by serving- give first and give often. Find what you’re gifted at and use the gift to serve, empower and inspire others. When I started giving more I also started receiving more. I challenge you to discover your gift, align it with your purpose and give it to the world.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I’m always to expand my network and positively help anyone I can. I’m all about personal growth and development, health and wellness and serving our community. I’d be happy to align with anyone who has the desire and vision of bringing more awareness to these topics. Please reach out
