Meet Davee Tucker

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Davee Tucker a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Davee, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
Where my resilience comes from is growing up around a bunch of people who were nothing like me and I wanted to be nothing like. It was very rare to have role models. It honestly makes you hard bodied, over time. However, if I could credit anyone it would be my mom. She really got after it in making sure we had what we needed growing up.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
#BoxOfficeTuck Like this is the light! This is everything it honestly should be. This is something I built by myself from the ground up. When people see, or think BoxOfficeTuck think about me. I want you to be inspired to go for what you want! This is what it looks like if you don’t quit. You can do anything folks tell you that you can’t. && That is #BoxOfficeTuck

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Uhh 3 things I can give is….. If you’re uncomfortable don’t! Idc about money, moment, opportunity whatever. Because at the end of the day it’s you that has to live with it. Another thing would be do something you have done, to get what you never gotten. You have to take chances, risk, etc.. Waiting around forever never help anyone, all ya ducks will never be in a row. Now I’m not saying jump off a bridge off an impulse decision, but contemplate for a moment THEN GO! && The last your journey is truly yours, be grateful for your struggle, celebrate you successes, make sure to live in the moment. One thing I’d tell others pursing the journey, do it, practice your craft, and don’t let anyone tell you why you shouldn’t.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
Believing in myself, and releasing old traumas that have plagued me over life growing up.
