David, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
My purpose was ignited by a fascination with technology and a deep-seated belief in its transformative power. From a young age, I was captivated by computers and the digital realm. It was like a vast frontier, just waiting to be explored and understood.
As I delved deeper, I came to appreciate the intricate complexity of the cyber world – a vast, interconnected network that powers our daily lives, yet remains largely unseen and misunderstood. I realized that this digital world is not just a tool, but an integral part of our modern society, providing endless possibilities and opportunities. Yet, with such power comes the inevitable vulnerability.
I saw how businesses struggled with managing their IT infrastructure, securing their data, and navigating the constantly evolving technological landscape. I understood their concerns – cybersecurity threats, data breaches, the difficulty in keeping up with rapid technological advances – and I wanted to provide a solution. That’s when I realized my purpose: to safeguard the digital landscape, to enable businesses to thrive in it without fear.
I founded Kings-Guard.com with the mission to provide comprehensive cybersecurity services and managed IT solutions, with a special emphasis on cloud-based services using AWS. I view my role as not just a service provider, but a protector and enabler of digital growth. That’s my purpose, that’s what drives me every day.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. Looking back, the journey with Kings-Guard.com has been an amalgamation of successes, challenges, and endless learning. Reflecting on this journey, I’d say the three most impactful qualities have been:
1. Technical Competence: The cybersecurity landscape is ever-evolving, with new threats and innovations constantly emerging. Having a deep understanding of the technical aspects of cybersecurity, cloud services, and IT infrastructure has been critical to our success.
2. Adaptability: In an industry where change is the only constant, adaptability has been indispensable. From adjusting to new technologies to modifying our strategies in response to emerging cyber threats, our ability to adapt has been a crucial part of our success story.
3. Relentless Drive: Starting and scaling a business requires a level of perseverance and determination that cannot be overstated. It’s the fuel that propels you through the inevitable challenges and keeps you going even when the odds seem insurmountable.
For those embarking on their journey, I’d offer the following advice:
Firstly, invest in your technical skills. Take courses, attend seminars, read industry publications. Stay abreast of the latest technologies and trends in your field.
