Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Declan C. Khan . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Declan C. , thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
In a nutshell my optimism directly relates to the “Law of attraction”; where I invest majority of my energy, interactions and good deeds into positive actions. In-turn, this “glass half full” approach has reaped fruitful rewards time and time again; gradually enhancing my optimistic vibe and aura overall. Being the driver of my own journey steering through many obstacles along the way I have been privy to the great feeling of being guided by genuinely good human beings and have always reminisced about the look on their faces seeing my growth as a creative and professional.
As a result, I to thrive on that feeling of proud to help others become better at – how they see the world; how they perform their job and how to become a better person overall which directly contributes to my continued optimistic approach to my career life and all other life challenges.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am by trade a Hospitality Manager – Bar & Beverage focused. Journeying half my life in this industry (17yrs) I have gone from ground zero employee to top tier at my professional rank. Transitioning from being just an awarded professional I have navigated my focuses into a new trajectory toward developing persons who see hospitality as a future career and even those who have not dwell into the new age of digital media. My newly founded purpose has come as a motion of transcendence as I feel spirited to make it my duty to guide these professionals into a modern day light.
My new brand’s (Bar & Beverage Brand Concepts- https://bartendecodigitalconcepts.mypixieset.com/weddings/) framework focuses on developing natural professional digital catalogues for integration into all digital platforms (Social/otherwise) to better showcase the skill-sets and showmanship of hospitality professionals and in-turn increasing
marketability, professional perception & creator trustworthiness.
Through the brand I also offer other services such a s productions of beverage brand catalogues and facilitation of specialty courses for the truly advanced professionals.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Three main qualities most impactful to my journey would definitely be

1. Knowledge Seeking –
Actively and continuously seeking knowledge relating to my profession has been a key driver in stimulating my extensive interest in the profession. In-turn this has simultaneously elevated my intelligence and curiosity – of what is there next? This has directly contributed into my work life transcending from “doing my job well” into a higher purpose of including “human impact” into my management strategies.

2. Quality of Work Output – Within all my active years in the industry I have always aimed to produce work of the highest quality or at least the best I know at the time. As I say, “best foot forward; walks a successful path” (Declan C. Khan). This, similarly to knowledge seeking, has also stimulated my growth for the want of top tier work output. Looking back now I can see clearly that the quality I have always thrived for, has grown significantly in a trending fashion to the point where I have been seeked out to produce works for respected companies and brands.

Overall Consistency – Amongst my first two points, overall consistency has and will always be a significant contributing factor to my success. My steadfast attributes played chief role in maintaining the knowledge I needed and pushed me through barriers along with consistent high work quality that resulted in many recognitions and eventually a professional respect that I did not even predict. Overall consistency will keep you cognitive of the active world trends needed to transition with the times and changes becoming one of your most valuable qualities.

Of these three qualities, simply be 3. consistent with 1 & 2 and you will develop just fine. Test your intelligence and understanding; learn application strategies and put your capacity to its limits.

I will gladly partner with the right team/individuals that is interested in this field. I also actively seek out upcoming hospitality professionals/creators or new/upcoming food & beverage brands to provide services that is cost effective.
