The roots of my resilience trace back to my mother, Gwendolyn Hinson, a beacon of strength and determination. Losing her was undoubtedly one of the most challenging experiences of my life, but it also became a source of profound inspiration. Watching my mother navigate the complexities of raising five children while simultaneously owning multiple businesses demonstrated the true meaning of resilience.
Her ability to face adversity head-on, maintain strength, and pursue her entrepreneurial dreams left an indelible mark on my character. The challenges she overcame instilled in me a deep well of resilience that I draw from in both personal and professional spheres. Her legacy lives on as a guiding force, reminding me that resilience is not just about bouncing back from setbacks but also about facing each obstacle with determination.

Delphine “Browneyes” Knaff is the driving force behind Flavored Fitness, a dynamic community promoting health and wellness. Originating from active community involvement, my journey laid the foundation for a vibrant lifestyle that now defines our community engagement.
Flavored Fitness is more than a brand; it’s a movement for all ages, offering diverse fitness options. We inspire and empower individuals on their journey to holistic well-being through carefully curated events and merchandise.
What sets us apart is the fusion of passion, community, and purpose. Flavored Fitness emphasizes small efforts, like a neighborhood stroll, as significant steps toward a healthier lifestyle.
Comprising Flavored Fitness LLC and Flavored Fitness Foundation, Inc., each has a unique purpose united by a mission. The LLC enriches lives through events and products, while the Foundation takes our commitment further through impactful events and activities for all ages, fueled by community support.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Reflecting on my journey, three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge have been particularly impactful:
Multitasking and Time Management:
The ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and manage time effectively has been crucial. Whether coordinating events for Flavored Fitness, fulfilling my role in the community, or excelling in my professional career, multitasking has allowed me to maximize productivity. My advice for those early in their journey is to prioritize tasks, set realistic goals, and embrace effective time management tools. Developing this skill early on fosters efficiency and lays a solid foundation for future endeavors.
Community Engagement and Networking:
Active participation in the community and building strong networks has played a pivotal role. Being a part of various community roles, from HOA Board Member to Events Coordinator, has allowed me to connect with diverse individuals and organizations. The advice here is to immerse oneself in community activities, attend networking events, and build genuine relationships. The connections forged contribute not only to personal growth but also open doors for collaborative opportunities that can enhance one’s journey.
Passion-Driven Decision Making:
Finding and following my passion has been transformative. Establishing Flavored Fitness was born out of a genuine love for community engagement and promoting a healthy lifestyle. My advice is for individuals to identify their passions early on and align their decisions with those passions. Whether in business, nonprofit work, or personal development, pursuing what genuinely excites and fulfills you ensures sustained motivation and resilience in the face of challenges.
For those at the beginning of their journey, my overarching advice is to remain open to learning, be adaptable, and embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. Cultivate a mindset that values continuous improvement, seek mentorship from those who inspire you, and remember that every experience, both successes and setbacks, contributes to your overall journey.
What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
In the past 12 months, the most significant area of growth for Flavored Fitness has been the organic expansion of our community engagement initiatives. While embarking on a new adventure can be challenging, we’ve learned that patience and careful planning are paramount. By not rushing the process, we’ve witnessed a remarkable surge in interest from individuals of all ages. Flavored Fitness, born just 15 months ago, has experienced a heartening increase in participation, especially in our Hiking Group and various events. This growth is a testament to the community’s resonance with our mission, proving that thoughtful and deliberate efforts yield meaningful and sustainable results.
