We were lucky to catch up with Denitris Harris recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Denitris, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I realize now my purpose came through my past experience of Domestic Violence/Dating relationship. My pain led to my purpose. To encourage, educate, and empower women who have gone through or going through DV. I’m using my pain and not wasting it. It took many years to work on my internal self. The process was uncomfortable, scary, risky, and painful, but I went through it courageously. I’m not who or what I used to be.
I am a new Woman who is committed to never go back to unhealthy,
toxic and abusive relationship. I’m proud of myself because I no longer
wear the mask of, “I’m good, or I’m fine”. I know who I am through God Eyes. I am loved, valued, worthy, accepted, reconciled, redeemed, and forgiven.
Also, encouraging, empowering, educating other women about Dating Domestic Abuse early on and the signs to look for and to share my own story.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
For me it was decision making, persistency, and humility. I had to make the difficult decision to stay bitter or get better. Once I made the decision, I made sure to stick with the process of work and healing. Once I went through the Fire, I was no longer in denial, ashamed or embarrassed. I finally saw my purpose through my pain and vulnerable enough to share my own journey.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I’m looking forward to exposing myself to other organizations, schools, universities, radio stations, TV, churches, businesses, funerals homes and magazines. I’m open and available to do things differently than the norm.
