Desirae , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
As a black woman who is a former print and commercial model and who currently works in the entertainment industry as a publicist and multimedia journalist, I have cultivated my confidence and self-esteem through a combination of self-discovery, resilience, and embracing my unique identity.

Growing up, of course I faced various challenges and societal pressures that made me doubt my worth and capabilities. Although some of these foundational experiences happened early on, they still shaped who I am today. Through self-reflection and personal growth, I learned to appreciate and celebrate my individuality. Embracing my cultural heritage and personal experiences allowed me to see beauty and strength in my uniqueness.

My career in modeling and entertainment has also played a significant role in boosting my confidence. By stepping out of my comfort zone, taking on new challenges, and continuously pushing myself to excel, I have gained a sense of accomplishment and belief in my abilities. Each success and setback has contributed to shaping my self-assurance and self-worth.

Moreover, surrounding myself with a supportive community of friends, supportive family members, mentors, and colleagues who uplift and empower me has been essential in building my confidence. Their encouragement, constructive feedback, and shared experiences have helped me navigate the ups and downs of both the industry and life with grace and determination.

Overall, my journey to developing confidence and self-esteem has been a transformative process of self-acceptance, growth, and empowerment. I continue to embrace my authentic self, celebrate my achievements, and learn from my failures, knowing that each step forward contributes to my personal and professional evolution as a highly feminine, powerful, and intelligent black woman.

I am a passionate publicist and multimedia journalist in the entertainment industry, dedicated to shining a bright light on the success of my diverse range of clients. Every day, I am driven by my love for connecting with people and sharing their stories with the world.

In my role, I work tirelessly to amplify the voices and achievements of my clients, who come from various backgrounds and industries. I believe in the power of storytelling to inspire, educate, and uplift others, and I take great pride in crafting compelling narratives that showcase the unique talents and experiences of those I represent.

Building strong relationships with my clients is at the core of what I do. I enjoy getting to know them on a personal level, understanding their goals and aspirations, and collaborating closely to create impactful campaigns that resonate with audiences. By serving as a trusted advocate and ally, I strive to empower my clients to reach new heights of success and recognition.

Through my work, I aim to cultivate a sense of community, inclusivity, and celebration of diversity. I take joy in celebrating the achievements of individuals from all walks of life, highlighting their accomplishments, and sharing their stories with authenticity and passion. By connecting with people on a human level and promoting their success, I contribute to a more vibrant and inclusive media landscape that values representation and empowerment.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back on my journey, I believe that the three qualities that have been most impactful are resilience, adaptability, and a having a strong work ethic. These qualities have helped me navigate challenges, seize opportunities, and continue staying committed to my goals in the ever-evolving landscape of the entertainment industry.

My advice for individuals early in their journey is to focus on developing these key qualities:

1. Resilience: Building resilience is essential in facing setbacks, rejection, and obstacles along the way. It’s important to remember that setbacks are a natural part of any journey, and resilience will help you bounce back stronger. To develop resilience, practice self-care, seek support from mentors or peers, and maintain a positive mindset even in the face of challenges.

2. Adaptability: In a fast-paced industry like entertainment, being adaptable is crucial for staying relevant and seizing new opportunities. Embrace change, be open to learning new skills, and stay curious about emerging trends. Cultivate a mindset of flexibility and willingness to evolve with the industry to thrive in diverse situations.

3. Work Ethic: A strong work ethic sets the foundation for success by demonstrating dedication, reliability, and professionalism. Develop a disciplined routine, set clear goals, and consistently put in the effort required to achieve them. Strive for excellence in all your endeavors and be willing to go above and beyond to deliver exceptional results.

In my journey, I have been the driving force behind overcoming challenges and developing the essential skills, qualities, and knowledge needed for success. It has been me, with my determination and perseverance, who has taken the reins and navigated through obstacles. I have been my own greatest supporter, pushing myself to grow, learn, and adapt in the face of adversity. Through my own efforts and resilience, I have forged a path towards success, relying on my own inner strength and belief in my abilities to overcome any challenge that comes my way.
