Meet DeVante Wynn

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful DeVante Wynn. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with DeVante below.

Hi DeVante, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
My growth mindset is the root of all my optimism. I believe that where I am is just a starting point, and that through hard work and dedication, I can achieve whatever I desire. My growth mindset allows me to believe that I can achieve my greatest dreams or become as wildly successful as I desire, even if it hasn’t happened YET! This adoption of a growth mindset, use of positive language, and knocking out quick and simple checkpoints on my way to my goals is an easy way to stay optimistic.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am the owner/operator of WORK2WYNN, LLC, a company dedicated to empowering individuals and firms to be the best version of themselves daily. Since our inception, we have promoted the power of positivity by educating people on the importance and value of a growth mindset. Our approach emphasizes skill-building to sustain a positive mindset that fuels a relentless work ethic for achieving goals. We believe that’s the key to #WYNNing in every aspect of life. Education and empowerment serve as the foundation of the work we do and guides the published books and yearly community events we host and promote through partnerships.

WORK2WYNN offers inspiring content across multiple platforms, books, community events, and public speaking partnerships.

As an educator, I serve as the world history teacher and head basketball coach at Bowdon High School (GA).

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three skills or qualities that I believe to be the most impactful to my journey thus far are positive thinking, resilience, and adaptation. Regardless of the situation presented or the opportunity available, I find the silver lining. When I think of “what-ifs,” I intentionally focus on the thoughts surrounding success and achievement. When things get tough, I find a way to spin it positive to keep me encouraged. Utilizing the growth mindset I spoke of earlier, I remind myself that even though I haven’t figured it out YET then I will. Combining that positive thinking with the willingness to face every bout of adversity head on, I’ve developed a strong will of resilience to weather every storm that comes my way, because I know that trouble doesn’t last always. The sun will rise in the morning and if the good Lord allows me to see a new day, then I will be either be better than the day before or stronger because of it. The best way to handle those storms or any situation is to be adaptable. Be willing to learn, analyze, and decipher how to move in that space. Figure out if this opportunity is a blessing or a lesson. Find out how to move in that space, how to add value to that space, and how that space can benefit you. By becoming adaptable and willing to learn at every turn, we can maximize what God presents to us.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
