We recently connected with Dominique Hall and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Dominique, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
Although I am imposter syndrome is something you never quite get over , it something that you constantly get through as an entrepreneur inevitably. Ways that I’ve been able to see past my own imposter syndrome is truly understanding I deserve to be there and that anyone’s greater or grandest accomplishments , not only do they not affect nor reflect on me , they have nothing to do with me . I had to really reconnect with my faith recently in order to recognize my own high functioning depression and imposter syndrome . It almost as if everything you’d been through before accomplishing your goals comes back to visit like a wrecking ball , cues Miley Cyrus .
There was so much I was rittled with that I had no clue of still lingering and being there , but I said to myself Dominque where exactly did you think this was going to go ? I felt like one day God spoke to me and was like babe are you tired ? You’ve been carrying these things and yes you’ve accomplished so much but , ARENT YOU TIRED ? don’t you just want to let it go and release the weight , it is time to lay your burdens DOWN .
I genuinely was not ready , but I preached so fluently to my clients the art of letting go , meanwhile I’m hanging on to so much . So I share this side of me as an example, yes imposter syndrome in sneaky but it is valid when it creeps in you had to truly denounce it and realize what you are capable of and give yourself credit for every single thing that you have been through because YOU ARE STILL HERE, it is behind you . YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN QUALIFIED AND YOU DESERVE A SEAT AT THE TABLE. and if there is ever a time that you feel unwelcomed you are probably spot on , they definitely counted you out on purpose , SO BUILD YOUR OWN TABLE and SEND THEM INVITES !
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I believe my biggest influence was leadership in all avenues of my life whether they be forced or voluntarily. I’ve always been in student council or project management as well as first generation high school grad , college grad and entrepreneur . I’ve always had to take the lead in finding my own way so I’ve found in mutually empowering to show others how to do the same !
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Honestly my family gets all the credit , we are a colorful bunch . I tint my hat to myself and my husband Miguel . We have truly built our own lives despite our upbringings and the lack in certain levels of positive influence. We are a family of 8 : Cianna is 20 , Tyshawn is 17 , Zemir is 14, Xion our youngest is 3 and we have Freya and Luna the very bougie and expensive cats . If anything comes our way as a challenge just dealing with them on a regular basis in everyday life , prepares you for any and everything. Safe to say we are pretty unique and it is ultimate motivation to keep them at peace and just happy . My family constantly teaches me resiliency and how important it is to manage time , as well as scheduling down to a science . With a last full of leadership and experience with them each day … I definitely have development in all my skill set .
