Meet Dr. Greg Shaw

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Dr. Greg Shaw a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Dr. Greg, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?
As a child, I was raised to always see the brighter side of every situation….no matter what. As I’ve grown, I’ve carried that mentality with my to see every cup as half full and every situation as an opportunity. Instead of using the phrase ‘ I have to ‘ I replace it with ‘ I get to’ with a spirit of gratitude and thankfulness for each day.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Outside of working as a veterinarian, I’m currently working on new books in my line of pet fiction literature, blogging on my website, recording new music, traveling and networking with other coffee lovers with my coffee line, Bark Early.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. Always believe in yourself and don’t base your importance on the validation from others.

2. Be the hardest worker in the room.

3. Don’t be afraid to dream and follow through. We either win or we learn.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
Allowing me to grow into my most authentic self.
