Dr. Tina J, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
During my upbringing, my family and I actively engaged in volunteer-driven community initiatives. We dedicated our efforts to supporting the community through diverse educational projects. My parents instilled in me the value of utilizing one’s gifts to assist others, emphasizing the importance of practicing the Golden Rule from the Bible – treating others as you wish to be treated. They also imparted the wisdom of consistently seeking the Kingdom as a guiding principle in life.

Dr. Tina J. Ramsay (h.c) is the accomplished CEO of CTR Media Network, CTR CARES INC, a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit, Founder of The Homeschooling Interactive Magazine, and Co-Founder of the Melanated Homeschooling Families Community. Proudly married for 22 years and a devoted mother to two exceptional children, she holds two Honorary Doctorates in Humanities and Pop Cultural Studies and is a KBB University Business School graduate.
Dr. Ramsay actively contributes to various organizations, serving as Media Executive and Homeschooling Coordinator. With 25 years of experience in education, she is a Certified Special Needs Educator and a passionate public speaking representative on home-based learning and Podcast Media.
As the co-founder of one of the largest Homeschooling Support Groups on Facebook, supporting over 22K Homeschool Parents globally, we focus on helping parent destress the homeschooling process providing necessary support to build the confidence of the parents and child to create the best learning environment.
What excites me about my work is the fusion of Home-Based Learning (Homeschooling) and Media. I strive to extend outreach, facilitate education, and foster community engagement. My passion lies in connecting parents and entrepreneurs with like-minded podcasters, offering comprehensive training and resources to support their growth. Through the strategic use of podcasting, social media, tv, and education. I aim to bridge the gap between education and business positively worldwide. Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
In my journey, I’ve found that self-motivation, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement and learning have been instrumental. My advice is to cultivate your vision even in the absence of external recognition. Develop a resilient mindset that acts as a protective shield, empowering you to persevere when challenges arise. Embrace the idea that valuable lessons can be gleaned from individuals at any expertise level; adopt a stance of perpetual learning. Keep in mind that no one possesses all knowledge, and adopting a mindset of a lifelong learner opens doors to continuous growth and development.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
We are actively seeking support in the form of funding, donations, volunteers, partnerships, and collaborations to fuel the expansion of our business. Our focus is on enhancing the value of CTR Media Network, and our Educational Business that advocates for Homeschooling. With a community of over 22,000 parents worldwide, we aim to provide resources, opportunities, and access to enrich the homeschooling experience.
