We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Dr. Tina J Ramsay a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Dr. Tina J , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Long ago, my purpose found me, setting me on a path that would unfurl over time. As I grew and evolved, so did my understanding of that purpose, expanding my horizons in tandem with my personal journey. Delving into the lives of both fictional characters from TV shows and the real personas of public figures became a passion, a window into the human experience. The profound impact stories can have, their ability to mold and reshape lives, is what continues to deeply resonate with me.

I am multifaceted, embodying roles as a devoted wife, nurturing mother, dedicated educator, driven entrepreneur, and three-time best-selling author. There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Embedded within the tapestry of my journey are three steadfast qualities: resilience, compassion, and unwavering consistency. These traits have been my guiding stars, propelling me through the ebbs and flows of this path.
Of the many skills I’ve cultivated, effective communication stands tallest. From my earliest years, I honed the art of public speaking—a craft enriched by a deep reservoir of understanding in psychology and sociology. This synergy has gifted me the ability to not only listen attentively but to also embrace the myriad perspectives that shape our world.
Driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge, I continually seek to elevate every domain I inhabit. This fervor fuels my mission to uncover voids within the podcasting landscape and ingeniously reimagine existing systems. Through this lens, the media space transforms into a conduit of positivity, a means to facilitate the alignment of individuals with their missions and messages.
Amid a landscape teeming with creators, the mantle of innovation isn’t exclusively about birthing the “next big thing.” My own journey has been about enhancing existing frameworks, turning them into vehicles of empowerment for both myself and my contemporaries. To me, podcasting emerges as a democratizing force—a realm where connections evolve into transformative experiences.
The path of an innovator is full of hurdles, but its pursuit is a testament to one’s fortitude. The resulting legacy isn’t just personal; it’s a roadmap for others to traverse, leading to their victories. The pursuit of innovation demands resilience, yet the rewards it offers are immeasurable.
