Meet EatzWith Sweetz

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful EatzWith Sweetz a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have EatzWith with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I believe I got my work ethic from my parents. They always worked so hard. I remember there were times where both of my parents had 2 jobs. They were so focused on their goal of providing for my brother and I. I watched them work hard for what they wanted. Best role models ever.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
EatzWithSweetz is my take on everything delicious in South Florida! I’ve always loved going to new restaurants and having great experiences, so I aimed to do that more in my spare time. It makes me happy to show love to businesses because I know how tough it can be to manage a business.

I started my food critic journey as EatzWithSweetz in May 2022 and I’m so happy I did! It allowed me to connect with so many other businesses and support them.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three skills I feel that were most impactful in my journey were networking, being tech savvy, and just having the ability to fully be in love with what I do. Networking is so important. You never know who you will meet. Establishing great relationships with people can really elevate your career. Some of my greatest opportunities came from meeting someone and then getting put on to an event I had no idea about. I highly recommend to always carry business cards.
Being Tech Savvy is definitely apart of the job. It really helps to know how to use your devices to make the content that suits you. There’s so much equipment to choose from, so many apps to use, it can be alot. You have to find what works for you. It doesn’t have to be super expensive and can still give you the quality you want. Take some time to master your technology and practice.
Having a love for what I do really makes all the difference. I really do love connecting with people over food. I really love helping businesses succeed. Because I have such a deep love for what I do, it shows. And I feel like there’s no point in doing something that you don’t love. When you love what you do, it doesn’t feel like a job. It’s important to find your reason why you love what you do and stick to it.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I’d love to collaborate with restaurants, small businesses, hotels, local attractions, and eventually I’d love to collaborate with businesses outside of Florida as well. If anyone out there wants to collaborate, please feel free to send me a message on Instagram or via email [email protected].
