Elena, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
When the pandemic started I found out I could do so much online, it was my time to reinvent , that’s when I studied to become a Immigration form Preparer, and Connects me with all the immigrants who want to fulfill their dreams, I have been an Immigration form Preparer for 3 years, and I continue to study and expand my knowledge, I became an IRS Certified Preparer, I also help my clients to prepare their Taxes, something so important, and I am a Florida Notary Public
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am from Venezuela, where I grew up and graduated as a Lawyer Almost 20 years ago with a master’s degree in civil and commercial. In the United States I do not practice my degree, but studying to prepare immigration forms has been my passion.
My Family and I came to the United States almost 9 years ago, our first year we lived in Tampa Florida, We have lived in some states, Florida, North Dakota and Colorado. Almost 2 years ago we returned to Florida.
I love to continue preparing myself professionally to always be able to give my best help to others.
This job gives me the opportunity to have quality time with my family, and definitely makes me very happy.
You can follow me on my social media
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three qualities that I consider most important when looking back are 1) Perseverance 2) Passion for what I do and 3) Confidence in myself, that definitely describes me.
My best advice would be, Start quickly, as soon as possible, and learn everything you can, train yourself, start in what you are passionate about, fall in love with your idea but be flexible, arm yourself with a lot of patience, and have a presence in digital channels.
Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
A challenge in the last year has been to make myself known, there are many immigrations Form Preparers, and with my perseverance and seriousness I have managed to believe in my networks and that most of my clients are recommended by other satisfied clients.
