Meet Elizabeth Gagnon

We were lucky to catch up with Elizabeth Gagnon recently and have shared our conversation below.

Elizabeth, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?
Growing up from a young age of four I was always underestimated for my voice and strength of getting through it and finding away. I was given the tea of life at four from my Oma. A time to sit reflect, recharge and release. Things we do when we serve our own cups in life. The naysayers and haters only show me their limits not mine. Self belief in myself even when no one else is celebrating me I self reflect and celebrate all my win no matter the size alone first and then with others. This way I stay humble and grateful for it all and want to be a good role model for my children and grandchildren.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m that woman on a mission to bring back the barter and trade of building relationships with businesses and communities around the globe through collaboration and innovative solutions to bring people together. By working and supporting one another without compromising our communities in the workplace we can make a difference. Growing up I had many life lessons I don’t wish on anyone through those lessons I learned to be different not to bring or give others what I went through. I’m a voice with a voice for the voiceless through my platforms. I’m a passionate person on humanity and how we serve others. I try I fail and I try again. Not letting failure stop me but push me to keep trying until it done. I bring a different perspective to the world with my T-E-A teaching educational awareness with others and their teas together we create a one on one tea party of awareness on topics, issues and literature to break stigma and shame. I have interviewed over 300 plus guests from over 45 countries and 105 plus topics. I connect the dots and create a home space of joining individuals together who may not known of each other had it not been for my work. I work with all walks of life from homeless people to Hollywood directors and artists. My tea party business started in my home in September 2015 and has come back to my home through the virtual world in 2019. In 2016-17-18 I ran a fundraising business to give thanks and awareness to services who needed funding and awareness. I serve the businesses and communities with tea parties, food, speakers and donations from each event going to them. Miss Liz (I)was asked if I could do it and my answer was let me try and the rest is history. I have collaborated with many other advertisers and magazines to get the message out there for shoutouts, getting other businesses brands seen through featuring them on my platforms and promotional materials. I create reunion shows for my guests, workshops, and opportunities to be seen through others I work with. I sell my books I written and published in 2023. I have also co author in 8 other incredible anthologies that have become international bestsellers. I offer my speaking service to stages and events looking for different. I also write and create articles for many different companies. My future goals are to have a educational stage, tea garden and place of service where we can together create a community that supports one another without hidden agenda. I’m looking at also creating educational board games, video games and maybe even a traveling tour bus with some of my inspirational guests and supporters. The tea of Miss Liz is endless. One thing is if you want to make a difference in the world you have to be willing to be underestimated, mocked and told you can’t. This is where you change the flow and you say Yes I Can. I will find a way and create something different that brings people together not divided. I’m a changemaker with a new style of serving people over profit first.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
My three styles of skills are belief in myself without this skill I would have quit along time ago. Inner self belief that I matter is what got me this far. My second skill would have to be my creativity thinking outside of the box and creating twist and turns of what we doing next. I even surprise myself at times which can be awakening moments of just how deep my creativity can go. My third would have to be my ability to see everything and everyone as a lesson to a blessing being grateful for it all. Staying true to my vision and mission the whys and purpose of being me just a little different from what others perceive me to be. Just a woman with a skill of adventure and adversity of try again.

The best advice I have for others just starting their journey would be serve from within. Serve your tea to the world. I Miss Liz can only serve mine. The tea flavours that lay in you. Three words that tell your story, why and purpose of why you started to begin with. Take your failures as stepping stone of sugar and add the cream of lessons from the stages it takes you to get to the final tea you serve. I serve tea of difference and you can too. Rest when needed and then pour again and flow the water of success in your own way and time. It will not be easy but you will and can do it. Like the saying goes fall seven times get up eight. If I can do it so can you. Let’s see what colour flavours and blends we create together in the future. Be you stay true to your own success story.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Looking to collaborate with services, schools, community events organizers, libraries, marketing businesses and media outlets that would like to be apart of a global effect of T-E-A. Looking for sponsors and investors who would like to contribute to the mission of helping others from all walks of life. Radio stations, tv channels and magazines outlets like yours. Through sharing we create a ripple effect of difference. Yea companies that are willing to help create educational workshops through collaboration with Miss Liz. Artists and musicians who like to help with create fun and engaging content together for children, youths and seniors. Through these collaborative programs and activities we can create a new world of difference. Game developers and artists creating through tea. With adventurous journeys together. The collaboration is endless in the space of Miss Liz Teatimes and Parties. Love to collaborate with like minded individuals from across the globe to bring traditions and culture ideas together.
