We were lucky to catch up with Ella Sky recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Ella, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I found my purpose when I began to see the happiness and smile, I brought back to many of my friends and family as I began to do their makeup. It felt good at that moment I realized my life purpose is to help others see their beauty from inside and out.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I began my career as a Makeup artist in 2016. After learning and mastering the art of make-up application, their ingredients and effect on the skin I decided to go into beauty school and become an Esthetician/ Full Specialist. After graduating beauty school, I decided to open my own beauty bar. When I first opened it, I named it after myself, Ella Sky Beauty Bar. Today it is now known as Skin Fairy Studio.
I specialize in Brazilian waxes, Makeup, brow tinting, and facial treatments.
I have many services ranging from facials to body treatments such as back facials, Vajacials, full body waxing for skin types dry, oily, acne, combination, and sensitive.
See, I care about inner beauty and health as well as creating beautiful faces. I love making people happy. I am truly passionate about esthetics and helping others to love the skin they’re in!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back the three qualities that was most impactful for my journey was how passionate I was, the eager to learn, and learning to accept criticism. Without passion, I probably would’ve quit a long time ago. Without my eager I probably would’ve never decided to go to school for it. Without excepting criticism, I would have never grown. My advice to anyone who are early in their journey don’t give up. If you’re passionate about makeup, if you’re passionate about the beauty industry, then that’s where you belong. Always be willing to learn as time goes on. Things are always changing, and you always must keep up with the trend. I know it can be a bit exhausting, but you’ll end up loving it once you master the new skill. Criticism can be difficult sometimes, but it may be that one hidden thing that you needed to hear those changes everything in a positive way.
Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
The one person that has been the most helpful is my sister Danielle Jones. She has always been my number one supporter. When I needed someone to practice on, she always made herself available. When I lost my job and decided to go to school full-time, she was there to support me. I am most thankful to have her by my side.
