Meet Elysia J

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Elysia J. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Elysia , so great to have you with us today. There are so many topics we want to ask you about, but perhaps the one we can start with is burnout. How have you overcome or avoided burnout?
B O U N D A R I E S . . . lol

First I had to reallllly get to know myself and my body. Finally after DECADES of feeling like I was struggling because I was too different from how I thought most other people were, I discovered human design. Once I deep dived into that subject, I learned all about my amazing, awesome, genius projector nature… Knowing this, it was like life gave me a permission slip to FULLY embrace who I am. I am someone who can penetrate and feel your soul. I can compute so much more information from a person than what meets the eye and direct their energy to creating what they want to create in their lives due to this (along with many other) super powers. Because of this, my lifestyle looks very different and involves a lot of space, fluctuation, play, and rest to accommodate how much I can accomplish when I am in the zone and how much energy it requires. Also, as a former people pleaser, I genuinely loved to help people so I would constantly do for others yet it came at a large cost. I didn’t know my limits, and if I could, I would have genuinely helped the world if I could … however I would often overdo it and forget I was only one person… so I really had readjust my life and reevaluate my values, priorities, and capacity to be integrity with my self and show up as authentic as possible for others to truly see me and accept me as I am. This unfortunately looked like saying no to others that I loved many times in order to say yes to myself and where I was authentically being guided in the moment or was available for.

So, when you ask how I avoid burnout? I honor my body and energetic capacity for things, I say no to most things and people ( not because I don’t love them or they are not amazing in their own right, I just know that a Queen can not truly serve if she is too busy stepping off her own thrown to help everyone. She must hold her fort fully before she can aide others). So that means turning down a lot, putting my body, energy rhythms, and feelings first, and taking on a very light load from others. As a business owner I have to be clear on how I receive and prefer to receive energy from others and from life, and how I like to give my energy to others and to life so I can live in a way that is sustainable for me, otherwise things feel to heavy for me to show up at the level I need to for myself, my life, my loved ones, and my clients.

To me, resting and playing is like eating. I can’t skip it, its a non negotiable for me! I must do that to live a healthy life, survive, and thrive. So to avoid burnout, we all need to identify what drains us, not do that (haha), find out what fills us up, and do lots of that on our down time! It’s literally like filling a empty cup back up with water so it can be emptied out again. Or taking a nice fresh shower after feeling all hot and sweaty. You must find the things that completely replenish you and bring you back to center. For some its cooking, for others its grounding, prayer, meditation, intimacy, connection with others or an animal, etc.

So when you ask how I avoid burn out, that is what giving our body, soul, and spirit what it need looks like on a regular basis and being crystal clear on what that looks like for you and to others. For me, lots of rest, play, laughter, time in nature, and with loved ones feels ohhh so good : )

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Well…. You can actually read all about me as well as my offerings here, so take a look! https://stan.store/jtheempress

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I would say the 3 qualities (and advice) that were the most impactful on my journey so far were…

1. Trust- in myself, in God/ The Universe, God’s Plan for me, and HIS process (especially if it looked very different than what I thought at times). I would say if you have a vision or a dream, that is no joke. When you are working with God to anchor in a dream or manifestation you have, many times that looks like taking an enormous trust fall that feels like you are going to die every single time. It feels so dramatic but it’s true! You have to have almost a delusional amount of trust. So build up lots of evidence in your mind and reality so you can receive it when it comes because it will, however you may need to do things you never thought you would or that feel scary to get there… however, what is on the other side of those fears, is the future version of you that is so expanded and powerful, who has been waiting to greet you with loving, open arms : D

The universe WILL test you and you need to be rooted in who you are, what you stand for, and your mission – so that when these moments happen, you can show up and “say it with your chest” as they say these days ; ) The universe lovesss bold, courageous action. And they best part? Sometimes, that looks like vulnerably sharing your truth with someone you care about, or simply stating and declaring your desires to yourself. Sometimes things can look or feel small, but be so big in your quantum reality. A lot of the time you just need to take the most authentic, aligned, and honest action in the moment with yourself, and keep declaring what you want and then get out of your own way. I never knew what that meant until few years ago. Getting out of your own way means declaring what you want and then allowing GOD AND LIFE to supply it to you rather than trying to mentally figure out and physically work so hard for these things. As a woman I have mastered attraction so we all have feminine energy in us so we all have abilities to attract exactly who and what we want! We just have to let go and let God. His plans for us are always bigger and better anyways so it’s lit!

2. Surrender: Trust and Surrender go hand in hand for me however, Surrendering hits a litttttle different. Trust, for me, is coming from the belief that God loves you and everything works out for you (even if it absolutely is not in the moment). Surrendering, feels like a layer beyond trust. It’s spiritual. It’s submissive. It’s allowing and accepting. It is not trying to force or change, or kick and scream about something it doesn’t like or want. It simply surrenders to what is and allows it to be that way because it TRUSTS in the higher power and knows whatever this is will be temporary regardless. So if we go through our journey TRUSTING it will work out, we can also surrender to the unknown, scary parts of the journey and still trust, we are on the right path, and will come out of top. This is an enormous part of the journey. Ask for signs along the way and you will see them. Just keep trusting those inner nudges and guidance no matter what. Always follow your inner light.

3. Resilience / Commitment: I think God knows me very well and knows if he gave me everything I ever wanted in life from the beginning, I never would have gone to the depths of my soul and come back out to share the story. I never would have learned and shared so much with others to the point that I feel I can overcome anything, and support the collective in a massive way for a massive up level. I had to go through so much trauma, pain, and heartache, to give me to strength and capacity to be completely resilient. Resilience, truly comes from falling down 7 times and standing up 8. Don’t be afraid of the fall. Just learn how to rise from the fall, and you will be golden on your journey. <3

How would you describe your ideal client?
I can (and have) worked with everyone (especially when it comes to readings) however when it comes personal coaching I love serving two types of women.

1. The Boss Babe who is focused on her success / empire ( single mom or career woman or woman with dreams) who is feeling burned out or doubtful if she is making the right decisions. Wants to take that next step in her life and business and not sure how to do it. Also struggles receiving support and wants to deepen her connection to her partner and others to receive deeper in life with ease.

2. The highly sensitive / gifted woman who has deep desires and dreams and is unsure of how to step into that person and actualize them. Feels uncomfortable with conflict and setting boundaries for self. Empathic and extremely empathetic. Can get lost in confusion, sadness, or distractions and deeply desiring to get out of that cycle in order to set up a nourishing, fulfilling, and healthy life filled with self assurance, self love, clarity, and deep self worth.

I did notice however, that of all the women I have served in the past and seen amazing results, I noticed they were all:

*DEEPLY heart centered
*Deeply cared for causes bigger than herself (women’s empowerment, animals, civil rights, etc)
*A leader in her own right (Teacher, Woman of the Home, Community Leader, etc)
*Open to God/Universe/etc (A universal power bigger than herself)
*Coachable with a no excuse attitude
*TRULY Ready and open for an enormous life change bolding stepping into her dreams
